East Central 911• Of the 10 Counties in the Region 7 participated.

• Butler, Polk, Merrick, Nance, Boone, Platte, Saunders.• Cost was $1,166,093 – Emergency Callworks is the Vendor.

• Includes 7 years end to end support and maintenance. • Counties share based on console positions/population.• Feasibility Study.• All counties went through one RFP process.

• Advantage of shared system.• Cost.• Ability to back each other up.• System wide upgrades – Text to 911.• Future consolidation if counties choose.

• Delays related to NRIN contract issues. • Servers located in Columbus and Wahoo. • Cover each LATA in the region.

• Century Link• Windstream

• Grand Island/Hall County provides Century Link Connection.• Buildout started mid spring of 2015.• 6 Counties operational since mid Summer 2015.• Boone County is going live March 30, 2016.

• Regional and Multicounty approach• All located on NRIN co-locations• All tie back to one or multiple dispatch locations • Future Station locations:

Pilot to SRS Servers• East Central Region worked with OCIO to connect 2 counties

new Motorola Consoles to the SRS servers in Lincoln and Kearney.• Colfax as a backup. • Butler County as primary and then backup.• Others upgrading before 2018.

• As Counties in the East Central Region install Motorola Consoles, 911calls and radio traffic can be transferred/connected to each other for true interoperable communications.

• NRIN provides interoperable communications to:• Villages/Cities• Counties• Regions • State
