Gonzales is approximately 137 hectares (338 acres), located in the southeast corner of the City. In 2011 the population was approximately 4,175 people. It represents 5% of Victoria’s population and has experienced a 7% growth in the last 20 years. Gonzales is almost entirely residential with primarily single family homes. It has the lowest density in the City (39% multiple family dwellings). Gonzales has the highest percentage of children living in the neighbourhood (15%). Gonzales has the most suitable beach for swimming in the City, which draws residents from a wide area. Total 8.1 hectares.
