StartthedayonahighineverysenseofthewordbywitnessingsunrisefromSarangkot,a1,600-metre-highmountaininthenorthernshoreofLakePhewa.(Thissegmentissubjecttoweatherconditions.)Intheflickeringlightofearlymorning,watchastheeightsnowcappedpeaksoftheAnnapurnarangearebathedinakaleidoscopeofgolden-huedshades–atruly awe-inspiring natural phenomenon. Tea/coffee is served at a local café in Sarangkot. Pass through the beautifulSchima-Catonopsisforestonthewaytothelookout,fromwhereyoucanalsoenjoyviewsoverthelakeanditstributaryrivers.Returnthroughtheforest–whichcannowbeappreciatedinthesplendoursofthenaturallightburstingthroughthebranches–forbreakfastatthehotel.Oncereplenished,enjoyamorningsightseeingtourofPokharacityandaboatride on Lake Phewa to theTaal Barahi temple,which isdedicated to theHindudeityDurgaandoccupiesa tiny tree-covered islet about200metres from thewaterfront.
