1. Introduction Thanks to Netex learningApp, you can carry your training with you and perform it whenever and wherever you want. Through this simple application for iOS and Android mobile devices and tablets, you will have access to the training sessions catalogue.

Download your session, carry it with you and learn whenever you want. You do not need to be online to perform it: your tracking data is kept and sent to the server the next time you are back online.

2. Installing the application

2.1 For Android devices

2.1.1 Downloading the application

To download the application, go to Google Play.

Search the application and click on “Install” to download it free of charge on your device.

2.1.2 Technical requirements

Netex learningApp is designed for devices with Android 4.0 operating system or higher. The supported screen resolutions and the recommended devices are detailed on the following table.

2.2 For iOS devices

2.2.1 Downloading the application

To download the application, go to the App Store.

Search the application and click on “Install” to download it free of charge on your device.

2.2.2 Technical requirements Netex learningApp is designed for devices with iOS 5.1 operating system or higher. The supported screen resolutions and the recommended devices are detailed on the following table.

3. Access and authentication

3.1 Accessing the App

You need credentials (URL of the server, user and password) to access the application. You will receive an e-mail with these credentials when you are registered in the system.

If you do not remember your password, you can retrieve it by clicking on “Forgot your password?”. In this case, you will have to enter your e-mail address and you will receive an e-mail with instructions to configure a new password.

3.2 Updating the App

When there is a new version of the application available, the market (the App Store or Google Play) will send a notification to your device so that you can update it.

When there are critical application updates, you will receive a notification informing you that the installed version is an old one and you have to update it in order to avoid possible errors that might occur if you keep working with it.

4. My Training

4.1 Accessing sessions

My Training screen shows an ordered list of the sessions the user can access. These sessions are grouped into courses.

Access the course you are interested in to see all the sessions related to that topic.

To download a session, you just have to click on “Download”. Once downloaded, click on “Open” to view it.

If you select a session, you will see its data sheet with all its characteristics: description, objectives, content, target users and duration. You will be also able to “Download” the session from here, if you have not done it yet, or to “Open” the content to start the training.

You can see your training progress anytime (if you have started the session, the time spent on it, the obtained score, etc.).

5. Download manager The download manager allows you to check the status and progress of downloads in course.

If the download has started, the downloaded megas will be shown.

Once the download has started, you will be able to pause it (and resume it or cancel it later) or to cancel it. If you cancel it, the session will not be downloaded and, therefore, you will not be able to view it. To avoid cancelling a download by mistake, the application will allow you to start the download again from the beginning.

Once the download has finished, you will be able to open the session to start your training.

The options of the download manager are the following.

5.1 Pausing and resuming a download

Once a download has started, you will be able to pause it. The download will remain in the status in which it was at the time of pausing it.

Subsequently, you will be able to resume it or to cancel it. If you cancel it, you will lose all data downloaded until that moment. If you resume it, the download will continue from the point where you had paused it.

Once a download has been resumed, you can pause it or cancel it again.

5.2 Cancelling and retrying a download

If you cancel a download, you will lose all data downloaded until that moment.

Once the download has been cancelled, you will be able to resume it by clicking on “Download”. In this case, the download of the session will start again, but from the beginning.

6. My Downloads

6.1 Accessing my downloaded sessions

Your downloaded training sessions will be kept in the “My Downloads” section.

6.2 Performing the training

To perform the training, go to “My Downloads” and click on “Open”.

You can perform your training even offline. When the device is back online again, all tracking data will be sent and your progress in the session will be updated.

Each time there are new content versions, you will be notified with an information warning in the “My Downloads” section. When accessing it, you can see which sessions need to be updated. Click on “Update” to work with the new versions of courses, without losing you tracking.

6.3 Information about a session

To see information about a specific training session, enter the “My Downloads” section and click on its name.

You can see on this screen all the information about the session (objectives, training content, etc.) and your progress in it.

The training will go through several states:

Not attempted: when the session is downloaded but you have not accessed the training yet.

Incomplete: when you have accessed the training but you have not finished it yet.

Complete: when you have finished the content of the training.

Moreover, if the session has assessable activities and they have been completed, the status “Passed” or “Failed” will be shown depending on the score you have obtained.

You will see the information about the score you have obtained and the time spent on the session below the status. The date of the last access will be shown as well.

7. Deleting a session The application also allows you to delete the sessions you do not wish to keep on your device. To do so, enter the data sheet of that course and click on “Uninstall”.

8. Synchronisation

8.1 My Training automatic synchronisation

“My Training” update is performed automatically when the application is launched and when the user has Internet connection. If the user is not connected to the Internet, an information message will be displayed informing that he has to be get online to access available training.

8.2 Non-synchronised sessions

The synchronisation of the tracking is performed automatically. When opening the course from the list of courses or from its details screen, the tracking will be retrieved and it will be sent when closing it.

You also have the option to do it manually by clicking on “Synchronise” on the main screen of each session.

Remember

You have to be online to synchronise the tracking of a session.

9. Settings The “Settings” section allows you to know the version of the App you have installed, your ID and username. You can also finish the session by clicking on “Logout” or log in again, or communicate any application error or problem from the “Report error” button.

Training you have on your device will be kept downloaded even if you logout.

10. My licence The available sessions in “My Training” have a term of validity during which users can download them and access their content.

You can consult the term of validity of the licence and the details of the session.

11. Push Notifications

When there is a change in the training of a user, a notification is sent to the device with the news or changes that have been done. These are known as push notifications and they appear in the following cases:

The user has been enrolled in a course or session

The user has been excluded from a course or session

A session has finished

Less than a day to start the session

The session has already started

Notifications are displayed different depending on the type of device and the operating system but the icon will be always displayed. When the user clicks on the notification, learningApp is opened and the user is redirected to the screen where that advertisement is explained.

Remember

The user can disable push notifications from the “Settings” section of the mobile device.
