The performance management engine collects data
from Network Elements and Element Managers,
analyzes the data, normalizes the data into generic
tables (KPI generation), compensates for missing data
(Interpolation), aggregates the data into different time
periods (Aggregation), cleans old data from the
database (Thin-out) and calculates Busy Hours and
Peak Hours (Specia l Per iods Calculat ion).
Telecom industry experience has proven that traffic
and other QoS parameters behave differently at
different times. TTI Telecom TrafficGuard monitors
traffic patterns for abnormal behavior in near real-time
and generates quality of service alerts based on KPIs
