Bob McCown was born in Columbus, Ohio. His colorful sports broadcasting career ranges from being the first public address announcer for the Toronto Blue Jays in their inaugural season in 1977 to the current host of the FAN 590’s Prime Time Sports, a syndicated national radio show in Canada. Bob was also the original host of Global Television's late night sports highlight show, "Sportsline".

He has been the host of The Business of Sports for the past four seasons. When they coined the phrase ‘radio personality’, they really only had one person in mind...”The Bobcat.”
