What isNevada CAN?The Nevada COVID-19 Aging Network (Nevada CAN) rapid response effort is a statewide, inter-organizational collaboration of many aging services organizations, led by the Nevada Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD).

Our GoalTo mobilize all available resources and ensure that Nevadans have access to medical, social and

daily essential items at home, reducing risk of exposure to and impact of COVID-19.

OBJECTIVES

• Provide credible information and resource availability.

• Utilize student and community volunteers to connect with elders via phone or internet-based technology to: • Check on basic, medical, and social service needs• Engage them in meaningful social interaction

• Assess for individual needs for basic essentials, including:• Food, medication, pet food, medical supplies, etc.

• Connect county senior service agencies and non-profit organizations with volunteers to fulfill individual needs through home delivery of essential items

• Deliver essential clinical services via telehealth, including:• Social work, primary care, geriatric assessment, and

psychiatric care
