Father Brian Harrington, Pastor
The number of priests per Catholic has declined over the past 40 years. This makes it more difficult for individual parishioners to establish a close relationship with any one particular priest. Furthermore, priests are no longer the only ones who offer pastoral care to our people. Yet without a priest, no parish is able to be a Eucharistic community. It is important to reaffirm the importance of the priesthood of Jesus Christ
Please pray for our parish family members who are sick: Ella Mae LeBlanc, Mike Breaux, Leslie Douet, Susie M. Safe Haven Sunday February 29th—March 1st Equipping the Family: Having Critical Conversations The constant flood of influence that comes through the internet and social media in all of its various forms, along with social pressures from peers make it difficult for children to live virtuous and holy lives. In the digital age, it’s not a matter of if your child will see something inappropriate online. It’s only a matter of when. And regrettable, internet pornography is teaching our children how and what to think about sex and marriage. Next weekend, the Diocese of Lafayette will be celebrating our second annual Safe Haven Sunday. This weekend of awareness will provide you confidence for how to talk to your children about internet dangers, as well as their personal online and offline choices. Please join us with your prayers and presence as we prepare for this unique event. To learn more, please visit diolaf.org/safehaven.
Black & Indian Missions Next weekend we will have a second collection to support the Black & Indian Missions These funds are used for enlivening parish life & catechesis, helping educators reach kids,
empowering evangelizers and encouraging vocations. Please support this collection if you are able to..
Ash Wednesday Collection This week for Ash Wednesday we will have a collection to support Catholic Charities of Acadiana n he Diocese of Lafayette.
