12. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SEPARATION AND DISMANTLING OF ALL EXISTINGFLUORESCENT LIGHTING CONTAINING PCB BALLASTS. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PUT THE PCB BALLASTS IN THEDESIGNATED BIN IN SW200P.
13. REMOVE ALL EXISTING LIGHTING FIXTURES, ELECTRICAL DEVICES, WIRING AND EQUIPMENT TO SUIT NEW CONSTRUCTION.CUT BACK AND CAP CONDUITS AND ELECTRICAL OUTLETS NOT BEING USED, SO THAT FINISHED WORK PRESENTS A NEAT ANDCLEAN APPEARANCE. DISCONNECT AT POINT OF ELECTRICAL SUPPLY, REMOVE OBSOLETE WIRING AND CONDUITS, AND MAKEEXISTING SYSTEM SAFE. BLANK OFF OPENINGS IN PANELS OR BOXES FROM REMOVED CONDUITS OR DUCTS.
14. THE LIGHTING FIXTURES IN THE ROOMS TO BE RECESSED VAPOR-PROOF LED WITH SMOOTH LENSES, DOUBLE SWITCHED HALFLAMPS TO TIMED WALL SWITCH, HALF LAMPS TO CENTRAL LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM.
15. AS PART OF THE DEMOLITION CONTRACT, THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALLCOMMUNICATIONS/FIRE ALARM AND SECURITY DEVICES, CABLING AND CONDUIT NOT REQUIRED AND MAKE SAFE. 8. ALL ELECTRICAL CONDUITS THROUGH WALLS MUST BE COMPLETELY SEALED TO ELIMINATE THEIR POTENTIAL USE AS ROUTESFOR VERMIN OR AEROSOLS. MASONRY BACK BOXES TO BE USED.
9. THE POWER FOR SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT MUST BE SIZED AND INSTALLED ACCORDING TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THEMANUFACTURERS OF THE EQUIPMENT. VERIFY THE EXACT POWER REQUIREMENTS AND RECEPTACLE TYPES FOR SPECIALEQUIPMENT WITH MANUFACTURER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
10. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY AND INSTALL SUITABLE LABELS ON ALL RECEPTACLES. LABELS TO INCLUDE BOTHPANEL AND CIRCUIT DESIGNATION.
11. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR TO REVISE AND UPDATE PANELBOARD SCHEDULES AFFECTED BY WORK.

17. ALL WIRING TO RUN IN CONDUITS AND ALL CONDUITS TO BE ELECTRICAL METALLIC TUBING (EMT) UNLESS OTHERWISESPECIFIED.
18. CONDUIT MUST BE INSTALLED SO THAT CONDUCTORS CAN BE DRAWN IN WITHOUT STRAIN OR DAMAGE TO THECONDUCTORS.
19. WHERE VERTICALLY RUN CONDUITS PASS THROUGH A SLAB, CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE 100MM HIGH CONCRETE PAD WITHTHE PAD EXTENDING 100MM ON ALL SIDES OF THE CONDUIT.

8. ALL ELECTRICAL CONDUITS THROUGH WALLS MUST BE COMPLETELY SEALED TO ELIMINATE THEIR POTENTIAL USE AS ROUTESFOR VERMIN OR AEROSOLS. MASONRY BACK BOXES TO BE USED.
9. THE POWER FOR SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT MUST BE SIZED AND INSTALLED ACCORDING TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THEMANUFACTURERS OF THE EQUIPMENT. VERIFY THE EXACT POWER REQUIREMENTS AND RECEPTACLE TYPES FOR SPECIALEQUIPMENT WITH MANUFACTURER PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
10. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY AND INSTALL SUITABLE LABELS ON ALL RECEPTACLES. LABELS TO INCLUDE BOTHPANEL AND CIRCUIT DESIGNATION.
11. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR TO REVISE AND UPDATE PANELBOARD SCHEDULES AFFECTED BY WORK.
12. THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VISITING THE SITE AND EXAMINING ALL CONDITIONS AFFECTINGTHE PROPOSED INSTALLATION. NO CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN FOR EXTRA COSTS ARISING FROM FAILURE TO VISIT SITE.
13. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS FOR REVIEW FOR ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.
14. SUPPLY AND INSTALL NEW RECEPTACLES AS SHOWN. RECEPTACLE COVER PLATES TO BE STAINLESS STEEL. MOUNTING HEIGHTSTO BE CONFIRMED ON SITE. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR TO MARK UP OUTLET LOCATIONS AND OBTAIN APPROVAL PRIOR TOINSTALLATION.
15. RELOCATE EXISTING RACEWAYS ON CONCRETE WALLS AS SHOWN IN ELECTRICAL PLANS. ENSURE THERE ARE PHYSICALDIVIDERS TO ACCOMMODATE BOTH DATA AND POWER WIRING WHERE APPLICABLE. ENSURE RACEWAY IS COMPLETELY SEALED.
16. SUPPLY AND INSTALL PLENUM RATED FT6 (BELDEN 4813) CABLES FOR COMMUNICATIONS. CABLE TO RUN FROM DATA DROPS,IN CABLE TRAY, TO MAIN IT ROOM. CONDUIT TO BE INSTALLED FROM DEVICE TO CABLE TRAY.
17. ALL WIRING TO RUN IN CONDUITS AND ALL CONDUITS TO BE ELECTRICAL METALLIC TUBING (EMT) UNLESS OTHERWISESPECIFIED.
18. CONDUIT MUST BE INSTALLED SO THAT CONDUCTORS CAN BE DRAWN IN WITHOUT STRAIN OR DAMAGE TO THECONDUCTORS.
19. WHERE VERTICALLY RUN CONDUITS PASS THROUGH A SLAB, CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE 100MM HIGH CONCRETE PAD WITHTHE PAD EXTENDING 100MM ON ALL SIDES OF THE CONDUIT.
