STUDY CLUB NEWS

Dr. Donald Arens presented a lecture on endosseous implants at the March 10 meeting of the Greater Boston gndodontic Study Club held at the Tufts dental school. The previous day, he lectured on endodontic sur- gery at the school.

Dr. Shepard S, Goldstein is presi- dent of the Boston group. Other new officers are Drs. Jay Marlin, vice- president, and Joseph Williams, sec- retary-treasurer.

The importance of prior diagnosis before endodontic treatment was the topic of a lecture by Dr. Irving J. Naidorf, professor and chairman of endodontics, Columbia University, at a meeting of the Edward C. Penick Study Club held at the Bethesda Navy Officers Club.

The final meeting of this academic year was held May 15, with Capt. Craig Bell and Sen. D. Patrick Moy- nihan as guest speakers.

Endodontic Study Club during which Dr. Joseph Williams discussed "The apically induced root fracture: cause and effect." At the March 13 meeting of the group in North Miami Beach, Dr. Melvin Goldman presented "Interpretation of radio- graphs."

The Northwest Academy of Endo- dontists, with members from Wash- ington, Oregon, and Vancouver, Canada, has been added to the AAE roster of study groups. The 1981 officers are Drs. Dennis Kobata, president; Leland Hoepfinger, vice- president; Robert Oswald, secretary; and Fred Gonzales, treasurer.
