Zero cross relay control vs. traditional contactors
Traditional contactor
Mechanical life time ?
No control of Cut in or Cut out of loads -> high tear and weariness
High power PCB relay with Danfoss Zero crossing technology
High mechanical lifetime
Long lifetime on contacts due to limited (no) spark at cut in or cut out of loads
Sparks
Cut In Cut Out
Voltage = 0 Amp = 0

ID-key copy
- Parameters are stored in the ID-key + AK-CT 200A.
- AK-CT will work for 2 weeks without a ID-key
- network address (o03) is also copied

How do I reset a “software fuse” ?
√ Fuse alarms can be seen in AKA 164 display
√ E41 = Fuse alarm on DO1
√ E42 = Fuse alarm on DO2
√ E48 = Fuse alarm on DO8
√ Flashing red Fuse LED indicate fuse alarm on one or more of the relays DO1 -> DO8
√ Fuses can be reset in 3 different ways:
1. Power Off and On via circuit breaker will restart the controller and reset fuses
2. Fuse can be reset in Service menu for output status when FuS is shown for do1 -> do8 by setting output to on
3. Fuse can be reset in configuration menu by parameter L21 to L28 set to on from AKA display or remote by setting to 1

Danfoss Food Retail February 2014 | 20
- Appliance shut-down function (=external main switch, but no stand by alarm)
- Modbus communication status, 0/100% = everything ok, (U45)
- Pe & AKV connector identical, careful when replacing controller!
- Not used fuses; 16A by default, set to 0A
- EEC coil not supported
- HACCP approved, CE & other electrical approvals available
- Measurement of insulation resistance @ 500V. Loads must be manually wired (can’t push manually contactors like normally)
- No Danbuss option
- EKA 183A copy key support coming from next version (sw. 1.32)
- Integrated 24h real time clock
- ECO function for evap. fans (cut fan speed when night blind down)
- 2-light relays (spot lights)
- Controller & AKV powered from L1 (1-phase)
- 0…10V output for valve OD (AO1)

Room application
- Need 2,5 mm2 cabling, also AKV. (Check with local authorities!)
- When door function is open it signals that the door is open, usually motion detectors are ”NO” (DI7), needs extra relay
- Residual-current circuit breaker (30mA) needed for rooms
(personal safety, rail/drip tray heat)
- Only for 1-phase evaporator fan

Instruct electricians to check for missing neutral!
- Normally this is not part of electrical installation inspection!
