The Secret To Our Success

• It takes a team to win

• We can’t win without parent support

• Parents lead in event coaching/motivation/logistics

• Parents help to fund our efforts

Advice for this years team……from last years team.

“Make build designs early in the year.”

“Focus more on studying than on making a perfect cheat sheet, because in the end, it will be your brain that will help you place, not your cheat sheet.”

“Believe in yourself. If you have a build, keep trying until you get consistent results. With a study event, you have to make sure that you know everything. You can't fit everything on a cheatsheet!”

“Study on your own as well as with your partner. Hard work and studying pays off.”

“Don't slack off, always ask for advice, and meet with your partners as much as possible.”

What worked well?“The things that worked well for me and helped me perform better was having good partners.”

“One thing that helped me study initially was making a timeline checklist so me and my partner could study most/all of the topics before the first invitational.”

“Enthusiasm from Coaches & Students.”

“Hard work and partner collaboration helped us over the season. Also, the number of invitationals really prepared us for regionals.”

“It helped to talk to experienced team members in the same events.”

“Getting together as much as possible with my partners definitely helped, and also getting help from my parents.”
