Recently, Bluestar (Beijing) Chemical Machinery Co., Ltd (BCMC) reached an agreement with Asahi Kasei Corporation to establish a joint venture,

Bluestar Asahi Kasei (Beijing) Energy-Saving Electrolytic Technology Co., Ltd. Currently, the joint venture is in the process of incorporation.

The joint venture deals with electrolytic tank electrode renewal and auxiliary energy-saving equipment services. With registered capital of 2 million dollars contributed on a 50-50 basis, operations are expected to start by the end of 2012.

As the new silicone plants of Xinghuo Plant have been commissioned in succession, 1000 additional telephone sets wil l be added, well beyond the

capacity of the old telephone exchange system. To meet the communication requirements of plant expansions, Xinghuo Plant's information center completed the lay-down of new backbone wiring within 4 months. This job was done during nighttime to avoid any interruption of communication in the daytime. At present, the communication network has been running smoothly since its expansion. Nantong Plant's 90,000t/a Bisphenol A Plant Runs at Target Design CapacityWang Xiaoning

Nantong Plant's 90,000 t/a bisphenol A plant is running very well, increasing the daily output from 230 tons

(82% of full load) to 285 tons since April, well above the design target of 281 tons/day.

May 15-18, the company's bisphenol A plant underwent

a 72-hour test run. Raw material consumption substantially met the design requirement, energy consumption was about 15% lower than the design indicator and the product met or exceeded the polycarbonate-level indicators in terms of fusion color, solution color, purity and phenol content, with the content of main impurity of 2,4-bisphenol A isomer meeting the quality requirements for high-grade epoxy product.

This plant was built based on the 25000 t/a bisphenol A

technology of Wuxi Factory and using Suzler's patented falling film crystallization technology. Through technical innovation in collaboration with many domestic universities, this plant incorporates many Chinese inventions and utility

model patents. This project was started in September 2007, commissioned in February 2010 and successfully produced conforming products on May 20 of 2010.

To achieve the target for full-scale operation, a task force

was set up at the company in September 2011 to identify problems with the operation of the plant using BWCM's workflow and lean six sigma tools, discuss possible solutions and formulate an action plan specifying the target, schedule and responsible persons. A working team was set up to discuss the project progress on a weekly basis and fine-tune the specific actions in light of the actual circumstances.

After the plant reached the full-scale operation, the task

force set a more ambitious objective, planning to increase the competitiveness of the plant against the internationally recognized benchmark using operational optimization, process adjustment and technical updating.

With the Children's Day approaching, our school prepared a show to celebrate the occasion. Each class was to give a performance.

My class's performance was a six-person calisthenics

demonstration, and my teacher chose me to be the leader of the team because I have been learning calisthenics at the Children's Palace. Overjoyed, I told my mom this good news as soon as I arrived home from school. "Baby, you can do it," mom replied excitedly. I nodded at these words, determined to put on a good show. My teacher led six of us through repeated rehearsals during the noon break in preparation for the show. Instead of being the last to finish my meal, I finished earlier than usual and helped my teacher clean up the dishware before coming into the dance studio, all for the purpose of having more time to rehearse. My teacher taught us movement by movement, as I learned one movement after another. Some movements were difficult, so I repeated them many times before grasping them and helping other team members practice the same. It was too hot, and we began sweating very soon, which wet much of our clothing, but none of us said anything negative, because all of us wanted to add glory to our class as a superlative gift of Children's Day to our classmates.

On the day of show, I dressed myself early on and my teacher helped me put on good makeup. Sitting backstage quietly waiting for our turn, I kept thinking of our dance movements. Finally, it was my turn to take the stage. Although being quite nervous standing on the stage, I soon calmed down at the encouraging look from my teacher in the audience. I made each dance movement with deliberation. When the last movement was finished, I heard a wave of applause, so loud that I felt truly happy. This Children's Day gave me an unforgettable memory.

3.Dreaming of the Tiger Running Spring at Hupao Valley

The Tiger Running Spring located at the foot of Daci Mountain is the top one among the numerous springs of the West Lake. T h e n a m e o f Tiger Running S p r i n g i s originated from the Buddh ism myth " there is Tongzi Spring in Nanyue, and two tigers should be sent to move that spring here".

It is said that Xingkong, an eminent monk in Tang Dynasty, ever lived the Valley of Daci Mountain where the Tiger Running Spring is. Seeing the beautiful scene here, he attempted to build a temple here but suffers from lack of water. One day, he dreamed of tigers digging the ground and clear spring welling up. The next day, when he woke up, he found that there was indeed a spring. Thus, this spring is named as "Tiger Running Spring".

1.Inquiring about Tea at Dragon Well

This scenic spot is located at the Fenghuang Ridge Mountain at the southwest of the West Lake. At the time of Five Dynasties, the Dragon Well Temple was built in this place. According to the legend, the Dragon Well is communicated with the sea, because that there is dragon in the sea, the name Dragon Well is obtained. What's more, the water in the Dragon Well is very peculiar. When you stir it, a water parting line will appear on the surface of water, as if gossamer swings, and then gradually disappear. In Dragon Well, there are not only famous springs and famous scenes, but also famous tea. The Dragon Well Tea, one of the ten famous kinds of tea in China, possesses four features of "green in color, fragrant in scent, beautiful in shape and sweet in flavor" and is the top in tea.

2.Sweet Osmanthus Rain at Manjuelong Village

This scenic spot is located at the region of Manjuelong Village and before the Stone House Hole. Manjuelong, commonly known as Manjianong, abounded in osmanthus and is famous scenic spot for appreciating osmanthus of the West Lake.

During the time of Hangzhou falling into enemy's hands in the Anti-Japanese War, a lot of osmanthus trees were cut down, only several old osmanthus trees around the houses of a few farmers were left. After the victory of Anti-Japanese War, some of them were slightly restored. After 1950, a new batch of osmanthus trees is planted, and the number of the osmanthus trees together with the old ones reaches ten

thousand around 1955. The oldest tree of them is of about 200 years, and in the year of full bloom, the biggest plant can yield one dan of osmanthus, which has become an important economic income for the local villagers.

This "osmanthus w o r l d " w a s f inally built from g e n e r a t i o n t o g e n e r a t i o n . A t present, even each and every family plants osmanthus trees, around the house, or in or out of the village, or on the whole mountains or beside the roads, which can be seen everywhere. Around the Mid-Autumn Festival of every year, the osmanthus on the whole trees competes to blossom with fragrance floating far away, which gladdens the heart and refreshes the mind.

The species of osmanthus have golden osmanthus, silver osmanthus, red osmanthus, four-season osmanthus, etc. The flower of osmanthus is very small but large in quantity. It falls on the days with heavy dew when they are in full bloom, the flower often falls with the wind and is as fine as rain drop. People can be immersed in the osmanthus rain and its fragrance when walking in the clusters of osmanthus trees, which is of a unique interest and charm.
