With Fi-Fi 1, and escort notations, these particular vessels are able to fulfill a wide variety of duties in adverse conditions due to the very well-proven double chine form that characterizes all Robert Allan Ltd designs, with a sweeping "chined" stern. A large escort skeg is fitted forward which in conjunction with the sponsoned hull shape enhance the indirect towing capability and provide much enhanced roll stability. Having the approximate dimensions of 32.00m LOA x 12.80m B. Mld. x 5.37m D. Mld. x 5.80m Draft (Navigational) generally in accordance with the RAstar 3200 Design provided by Robert Allan Ltd of Canada. Built to LR classification with notation +100A1 Escortre Fighting Ship 1 (2400m³/h) with Water Spray *IWS, +LMC, UMS, for unrestricted service. Sleeping and messing accommodation to be provided for a crew of 8 in single and 2-berth cabins in two decks. Air conditioning to be provided throughout. The propulsion machinery to comprise two electric started Caterpillar 3516C(HD) marine diesel engines each rated 2525 kW (3386 bhp) at 1800 rpm (intermittent duty D rating) coupled to Schottel SRP4000 CP controllable pitch azimuth rudder propellers to provide a guaranteed bollard pull of 78 tonnes ahead and an expected bollard pull of 80 tonnes ahead with the main engines developing 100% power. Main electricity supply of 415VAC/3-Ph/50 Hz to be provided by two electric started Caterpillar C9 diesel engine driven generator sets of 200kW output each running in parallel.
