Spring Copenhagen is an innovative design company rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition. We are passionate about good ideas, design and craftsmanship. The essence is evolution and unique, iconic designs with an original idea, aesthetics, high quality, functionality and great stories.

We combine old and new, durable, usable, and functional accessories, furniture and lighting. All are brought to life in close collaboration with established and upcoming designers, idea-makers and the families of old designers.

Our name Spring refers to the season where everything grows, but indeed also to the feelings of rejuvenation, renewal and the celebration of ideas coming to life. For this, you will know our designs and brands.

New classicsOur mission is to create a multibrand- and design house that brings original designs and ideas with new perspectives to life. We are triggered by originality. And we believe that everyone can possess a good design idea that improves everyday life across the world.

Our door is also always open:We are constantly on the lookout for great designers and anyone with a finished design, blueprint or mock-up of what could be the next international contemporary design icon or cool design concept.

BenjaminHansenBenjamin Hansen designs to bring his aesthetics to everyday life and has always been fascinated with the process of bringing shape and form to ideas.

He was the co-founder of SHFT, where he developed visual concepts and designed products, including the Spring Copenhagen items.

His designs often take on a broad variety of materials, shapes and colours while expressing simplicity and strict form at the same time.

HansenTroels Øder Hansen is a Copenhagen-based furniture and product designer working with mass-produced products, furniture, interior and spatial design. Troels studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and attained his MA from the Furniture and Spatial Dept. For more than 13 years, he has developed various of furniture and product designs, designed concepts for large scale brands, urban landscapes, government agencies, national television and global brands such as B&O and Kvadrat.

SørenJakobsen

Søren Jakobsen graduated from the Danish Design School in 1986 as interior designer - and in 1992 as furnituredesigner and industrial designer.

He has more than 20 years of working experience in pro-duct design, furniture design, interior design and exhibition design, including 15 years as a designer and partner in the award-winning design company CPH Design.

Today, Søren Jakobsen primarily works with furniture- and product design from his own drawing office in Copenhagen.

Christian Riis is a self-taught cabinet maker and product designer from Denmark, and he is the founder of Grounded Craftwork.

Grounded Craftwork is known for its unique pieces of furniture, one-of-a-kind wooden accessories and functional designs. Christian’s designs often come in series and they share the common denominator of being organically shaped with a sense of softness in the design.

Eva Stæhr-Nielsen

Eva Stæhr-Nielsen, 1911-1976, Danish ceramic artist.

She began her work in June 1932 as an artist in Saxbo stoneware company in Gladsaxe where she up until the company’s closure in 1968 was the main designer andcreated a series of unique products and mass-produced stoneware vases, jugs, and bowls.

Today, these items are owned by collectors around the world.A sure touch with style, pure colours, simplicity in form and genuine craftsmanship were the characteristics of Eva Stæhr-Nielsen’s work, and she worked very closely with the founder of Saxbo, Nathalie Krebs, whom where in charge of


the glazing of the ceramics.Together, they made history and were, among other things, honored with a number of international design awards in Milan, Paris, Tokyo and the United States.

In 2017, Spring Copenhagen established a close collaboration with the family of Eva Stæhr-Nielsen in relation to the relaunch of some of her most unique and timeless designs from the period of 1932-1968.

Poul M. VoltherPoul M. Volther (1923-2001) is one of the great Danish designers, who developed his carrier alongside legends such as Børge Mogensen and Hans Wegner. Volther designed from a strict functional point of view, staying true throughout his life to the concept of bettering peoples’ lives through simplistic and functional furniture.

He was originally trained as a cabinet maker and proceeded to study furniture design at the Arts and Crafts School. At the young age of 27, he took over leadership of the FDB

furniture design department and is responsible for several thousand classic pieces of furniture spread across Scandina-vian homes to this date.

Spring Copenhagen has discovered yet another one of his classic designs, the J115, which we now have the honour of putting into production for the first time. The chair is a flawless representation of Volther’s style: Simplistic, Scandinavian functionality and knock-down approach to production.

Stooly is a french design company lead by Hugo Tsagliotis. Stooly Stool is an elegant and modern stackable stool that creates additional seating for any room in a split second.

Stooly folds and unfolds effortlessly and even though it is lightweight and easily transportable it is very durable,supporting up to 300 kg once unfolded. In addition, thisinnovative stool aims at reducing the carbon footprint on the environment and is made from recyclable whitecardboard.

For each product sold, Stooly will plant a tree.

Thomas Poganitsch

Thomas Poganitsch is an Austria based product designer in love with simplicity – and birds. In 2013, he created his own label, Ausflug, aspiring to create design that works without words.

Poganitsch expresses a strong belief that any design should trigger emotions, memories and stories in the mind of the viewer. Thomas’ creations are all about making people dream, even just for a second.

It was a Pepper Bird from the sixties sitting on Peter’s kitchen table that sparked the beginning of Spring Copenhagen.

Peter Sørensen and Claus Nielsen are business partners and friends. They share an undivided love for entrepreneurship and creativity and already Spring Copenhagen has taken on the world markets of design.

Together, they have created a platform for new and up-coming designers while discovering and bringing new life to old designs. The combination of this has proven to be powerful and refreshing.
