Principal’s Report

Our thanks go to the band of parents, students, community and staff who participated in the P&C working bee last Saturday. In two hours the gardens at the Orange Street entrance and Memorial Gates were cleaned up prior to Anzac Day: dying trees were removed and some plants were divided and replanted to freshen the gardens.

Our best wishes are with Jarryd Walmsley and Ryan Goodsell as they compete at the State Swimming Carnival this week. Each of the boys will be swimming freestyle in their 50m age division.

Easter Hat Parade

Students in K-2 will participate in the annual Easter Hat Parade this Thursday. Family and community are invited to join us in the hall for a 12.45 pm start.

School Anzac Service

Our annual School Anzac Service is to be held at 10.30 am in the school hall on Friday, 11 April. Each class will be making their own wreath to lay during the service, with wreaths moved to the Memorial Gates following the service. Grandparents and community are invited to attend, staying for a picnic lunch with students following the Anzac Service.

Anzac Day March

Each year students from our school participate in the town’s Anzac Day March from the RSL to the cenotaph at the park. Anzac Day falls on the last Friday of the school holidays.

I look forward to seeing as many students as possible join us at the RSL from 10.15 am for a 10.45 am start to the March. Students are asked to be in full summer uniform. Staff will be on hand to supervise and join the students marching.

P&C Meeting

School Returns

Staff will be involved in a staff development day on Monday, 28 April. All students return to school on Tuesday, 29 April.

Cross Country

All students will participate in the annual Cross Country event to be held on the school grounds on the first Friday of Term 2, 2 May.

Safe Travels

The autumn school holidays start this weekend. We wish all families a safe and relaxing holiday period. After a term of ‘bugs’, we hope that the break will allow students and staff to recover ready for Term 2.

Dear Parents & Students,

Condobolin Youth Services is holding a Skate park workshop as part of our Youth Week Celebrations.

We have Totem Skate School coming on Saturday 12th

April at the Condobolin High School (Cola area)

from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

We are looking for portable ramps that we can borrow for the day and hoping some students will lend them

to us.

We will be providing a BBQ lunch with fruit and drinks so please come along and enjoy the skating workshop.

If you have some jumps we can collect them and return them to you that afternoon.

Miss Richards will be taking nominations this week for the David Peachey & Russell Richardson Cup -

Rugby League Gala Day.

Girls and Boys in Years 3 - 6 must give Miss Richards their names during lunch Tuesday, Wednesday

or Thursday.

Tryouts will begin early next term.

The Peachey/Richardson Cup Gala Day will be 22nd

May, 9.00 am to 2.30 pm at Pat Timmins Oval.

You are invited to attend our K - 2 Infants Easter Celebrations on Thursday 10th April 2014 in the

school hall commencing 12.45pm.

Students will entertain you with an Easter song and then each class will take part in the Easter hat

parade showing off their magnificent hats. Judges will award students for their creative design and

outstanding efforts with all students receiving a certificate of participation.

Students will have the opportunity to make an Easter hat in their classroom which they can wear

during the Easter hat parade or your child can make a special hat at home to parade on the day.

After the celebration parents, carers, family and friends are welcome to stay. You may bring a

picnic to share with your child during the recess break. The eating area will be located under the

Infants Cola.

We are looking forward to sharing this fun occasion with the student’s family and friends.
