WORKSTATIONSWORKSTATIONS ARE RETAIL DISPLAY HEAVEN —YOU HAVE A SHOPPER LOOKING AT YOUR DISPLAY FOR 45 MINUTES!

· Start with the floating display shelf. If you don’t have them already, order from stacksandstacks.com and look for the 10”X10” white or black wall shelf. You only have to put them up once, and they will make you money ever after. Put the holiday gift sets on each shelf, as shown in the picture, with Lexy first, then two products next to the box

· Below that, clear off your workstation clutter and set up for the holidays. Redken is sending you gifts this year! Two styling products; satinwear 02 and guts 10 to use on your clients

· On alternating stations, put the “Give Style, Get Style and Have Style” shelf signs*, then add the two styling products. Match the signs with the product displays above in terms of color and product. Alternate those with styling gift sets as shown

· Add the mirror clings found in your merchandising kit to complete the display. There is a call to action on each to spark a conversation between you and your client

· Congratulate yourself when you are done. You have set up your salon to ring in the holiday cheer at the cash drawer, and to serve your clients’ needs at the same time!

SALON WINDOWMAKE YOUR FRONT WINDOW “SPEAK” TO THE WORLD OUTSIDE OF YOUR SALON, TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT HOLIDAY GIFTS THAT WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

· Set up three pedestals in your front window — the ideal heights are 48”, 42” and 36”. Arrange the Redken holiday gift set cartons with the matching product on the pedestals as shown. It’s important to show both the gift box and the products so the client sees exactly what they will be purchasing. If you use tables instead of pedestals, keep in mind that table height is only 30”. Use boxes wrapped in glossy white paper to build up the heights so the client sees what you are showing

· Place eyehooks in the ceiling above the pedestals and hang ready-made “Give Style, Get Style and Have Style” posters available in your Haircolor Holiday Merchandising Kit. Use clear monofilament (fishing line) to hang them from the hooks, or use white string or white ribbon

· Create more holiday cheer by wrapping the cardboard boxes that your products and gift sets arrive in with the exclusive Redken wrapping paper you received in the merchandising kit. Complete the look by tying a white grosgrain ribbon around the boxes and placing them around the pedestals in the window

Remember, you aren’t doing this simply to sell gift sets. You are doing it to create a seasonal décor for the salon! “Give Style, Get Style, Have Style” is a holiday message that has a lot more to do with beauty and fashion than elves, candy canes or wreathes! It speaks about what you can do for your clients that other stores can’t, and that is to give them style.

RETAIL AREAFOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, REDKEN HAS DESIGNED FIVE SHELF SIGNS AND A CUSTOMIZED SALON MENU FOR YOU TO CREATE A HOLIDAY GIFT-GIVING THEME.

Start by setting up six to ten shelves on your walls, organized by product line. See the illustration to see where you should put each line.

· On the left at eye level, put the gold “Give Style” shelf signage* with All Soft gift boxes next to it. Start with Lexy showing on the first box and follow that with the product side shown. Followed by the full line up of All Soft products

· Below All Soft, place the red “Get Style” shelf signage* with Color Extend, then Lexy, the product box, and the Color Extend product line

· Below Color Extend, place the blue “Have Style” shelf signage*, with the same mix using Extreme

· On the next row of shelves, opposite All Soft, place the bright red “Give Style” shelf signage at eye level with the styling gift collections. Below that, next to the Volume Styling gift box, place the holiday service menu to show clients the great service packages — from haircolor to blow-outs to updos — your salon offers!

· Next is the light green “Have Style” shelf signage* with Redken For Men gift boxes and the product line up

To create a major holiday statement, set up a square or round table covered with a plain white tablecloth.

· Add a white wrapped box on top to create additional height. Don’t use giftwrap or a patterned or colored tablecloth because you want to keep the message simple and clean

· Hang the “Give Style” poster* above the display

· On top of the box, place the styling gift sets, starting with the tallest at left with Lexy, and then the shorter styling gift sets. Below that, start with Redken For Men, then Color Extend, All Soft and Extreme. Continue around the table on all sides. Resist the impulse to add elves, ivy, garlands or other distractions. Think of what you see in great retail stores…clean, clear product presentations in holiday giftwrap.
