Andrew McLeod, OD '06

BOSTON (WHDH) - October 27, Eye-popping contact lenses often surface around Halloween and can take costumes to the next level, but that extra bit of flare may have some long-term effects.

Dr. McLeod was featured on a Channel 7's news segment, "Halloween Contact Lenses may have Long-Term Risks", warning of the hazards of unregulated/counterfeit contact lens.

eyePin get pinned for the holidays and beyond!

Hello NECO Alumni, The Contact Lens Society is a new club at NECO. We are young, energetic, and want to stand out! As Co- President, my role included developing an idea that would not only help fund our endeavors, but also makea first and lasting impression. When I began studying optometry, I wanted anything and everything that had glasses on it and was related to vision. The market was wide open for more "Optometry Swag" and eyePin was born! My team and adopted four lucky styles. Our choices were based on offering: 1 pin showing our pride and love for NECO, 1 pin that every student/ optometrist could wear, 1 pin that

friends/family/patients could wear to promote their optometrist and 1 pin just for fun. Unlike other fundraisers such as selling desserts, eyePins are fat free and never expire! And they are only $1.00 each!

If you would like to support us by purchasing eyePins for yourself, or to remind your family/friends that they love (you) their Optometrist, or for your office, please click to email your request:
