Dear Show Attendee: Welcome to the 2015 New England Food Show! This show is produced by Diversified Business Communications and is sponsored by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association. There are literally thousands of exhibiting personnel on hand to answer your questions, demonstrate their products, review their services, and help you solve operational challenges. The number one reason industry professionals attend the show is to get new ideas. I am sure that you will find some interesting items as you walk through these aisles. There will be chef demos and educational seminars throughout the show. Please take a minute to review the schedule in this directory. These demos and seminars are designed to assist you with your operation. In some cases they will give you answers to problems and in others they will incite your creative juices, getting you thinking outside the box. In either case, one good idea could be worth your investment in attending today. Dont be shy about speaking to our exhibitors. They are the pros. The only dumb question is the one that never gets asked. Pick their brains! They have traveled from all over the country to be here and to help you! This show is very important to the MRA, as it helps us accomplish our goals of protecting, improving and enhancing the industry. Your attendance demonstrates your commitment to the industry and is acknowledgement of our efforts on your behalf. Thank you for all that you do for the MRA and our industry! Sincerely,

Herb ChambersPresident & CEO, The Herb Chambers CompaniesMonday, March 16 at 1:00pmLocation: SnapChef Center Stage

Copier Repairman Hard Work, Passion, Integrity and Great Customer Service Can Take You AnywhereHerb Chambers will share his story on how values drove his career success, and how laser focus on customer service can help drive prosperity in all industries, including the food servcie industry.

Herb Chambers is the President and CEO of The Herb Chambers Companies. After hav-

ing spent 4-years in the Navy, Herb took a job repairing copy ma-chines for American Photocopy Equipment Company in Boston at the age of 21. He enjoyed his work as a technician, but realized that the real opportunity was in sales and soon became one of the top sales people in the country for APECO. He knew he was capable of doing more and wanted his own business. His mother leant him five hundred dollars and with that stake he founded his copier company, A-Copy America. A-Copy became the largest independent office equipment dealer in the country. Alco Stan-dard, a Fortune 500 company, made Herb an offer he couldnt refuse and A-Copy became part of Alco Office Products known today as Ikon Office Solutions, a worldwide company. He became executive vice president in charge of mergers and acquisitions.

He went to purchase a new Cadillac in New London, Connecticut and became so frustrated at the way he was treated, he didnt buy the Cadillac; he bought the dealership. The acquisition of other dealerships followed soon thereafter. Today the Herb Chambers Companies are comprised of fifty-three automobile dealerships representing thirty-two different franchises in Mas-sachusetts and Rhode Island. They are the largest automobile dealership group in New England and the sixth largest privately held automobile company in the United States. Their sales are in excess of $2.5-billion dollars and they have over 2,300 employ-ees. In 2013, The Herb Chambers Companies delivered 48,000 vehicles. In 2003, Herb Chambers was named Wards Dealer of the year out of twenty-two thousand five hundred dealerships in the county. His company has earned more J.D. Power Certified Retailer Awards than any other automobile dealership in North America and he was named the Massachusetts Automobile Deal-er of the Year for 2008. The Herb Chambers Companies has been voted one of the best places to work in Massachusetts every year from 2009 - 2014, the only automobile dealership group to ever make this list. Herb has always been a car enthusiast at heart and has now spent almost 30-years in the automotive industry.

The Herb Chambers Companies continues to grow, with Herb expecting to acquire three new dealerships this year alone. Currently, seven of the existing dealerships are under construction being renovated to incorporate the most state-of-the art amenities.
