As Chair of the British Menopause Society, it is a pleasure to invite you to the joint RCOG, BMS & IMS conference, ‘New Frontiers in Post Reproductive Health’. The programme encompasses a range of topics affecting women’s health at the menopause and into the years beyond. Following guidelines from our societies, the topics are clinically relevant and practical, whilst maintaining a strong scientific evidence base and discussion of controversies. The coming together of these societies has produced a faculty of wide ranging experience and will contribute to a lively and informative meeting. This is an opportunity to embrace the latest science and clinical opinion with the aim of improving the lives of the women we see.
As President of The International Menopause Society it is my great pleasure to invite you to join us in Dubai, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, from 7-8 December 2018. Dubai is renowned for its wonderful hotels and other buildings and leisure activities, the list could go on. It is also easily reached by air from all corners of the earth, making it an ideal venue. It is also a new venture since it is a collaboration between three societies that hold Women’s Health close to their hearts and demonstrates the importance of organisations with similar aims and objectives to work together. Our Scientific Programme Committee, headed by Dr Nick Panay, has already started planning a very exciting programme. It will be of high quality and relevant to all women and those who care for them. International speakers will talk about the latest advances including education and research on all aspects of the health of adult women worldwide. Please, mark the date in your diary now and I hope to see you in Dubai in December 2018.
As President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, I am delighted to be partnering with the International Menopause Society and the British Menopause Society to bring you the ‘New Frontiers in Post Reproductive Health Conference’. The women of today can expect to spend more years of their longer lifespan post-menopause than they spent in their reproductive era. As healthcare professionals we have a responsibility to ensure all women have access to high-quality healthcare based on the best available evidence. By bringing together the commitment and expertise of our three organisations, the organising team has developed a comprehensive and inspiring programme that covers the latest scientific and clinical advances as well as current issues in the field. I encourage all of you with an interest in this critical area of women’s health to join us in Dubai on 7-8 December 2018 for what I am sure will be an interesting and thought-provoking meeting.
