New Historical Film about ARMENIA

businessme world known film-producer and

popular actor Mel Gibson on shooting a

historical film about Armenia in Hollywood. 

“To the East of Byzantium“

This historical film will be dedicated on the

occasion of the 100th anniversary of the

Armenian Genocide.

“I don’t think that a film must be shot about the

Genocide. We have been a powerful country, we have had

victories and it would be nice if we showed that value to

the world,” said the President of RA.

“To the East of Byzantium“

Serzh Sargsyan also said that according to a

preliminary agreement Mel Gibson will come to

Armenia this year and the future of that project will

be discussed with him. The film will be about

Vardanants heroic battle and the preliminary

version of the title is “To the East of Byzantium“.
