We have survived the cold winter, the long nights, and the spring rains. We can now look forward to our flowers, fireworks, family visits, and fresh produce from the farmers' stands. Of course we mustn't forget the 90 degree heat and 90 percent humidity that occur in Raleigh in July and August. Like Board Meetings and Welcome Coffees, several of our interest groups are taking a respite from activities in July and/or August, so please check the accompanying interest group news for updates on summer meetings. I am pleased that most of the positions on the Board of Directors have been filled for the coming year. We are still searching for a Vice President. The members of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee welcome contact if any club concerns arise. Looking ahead, I hope you’ll put our Holiday Party on your calendar. It’s tentatively planned for Tuesday, Dec. 8th. Details will follow in a few months. Whether you are staying around town or traveling, please be safe. I look forward to seeing you at the coffee on August 7 th . Warm Regards, Anita Timbrook President Don't forget to renew your membership for 2015-16.
