Unit 3.3 We are animators – Creating a Roman cartoon In this unit we will: Use a paint programme to paint characters on screen. Use a paint programme to create background and props. Make characters move. Use the computer to write the story for the cartoon. Test and improve animation.
Unit 3.2 We are comic writers In this unit we will: Think about – and discuss – what your story is going to be about. Sketch out your story as a comic strip. Decide what pictures you need . Make or find the pictures. Put the pictures together with the words to tell the story Share your comic with class.
Unit 3.6 We are presenters Exploring how sound can be recorded – video documentaries on the rainforest. In this unit we will: Look at TV clips, how are they made? Experiment with digit cameras Film one another Choose the beginning and endings of clips and edit these together. Pupils write a set of instructions on how to do one of the followings activities from the unit: Using the camera Editing the footage

Planning Teaching VLE Assessment Monitoring
-Yearly overview completed by ICT working group.
- Use yearly overview along with ‘Switched on ICT’ book (which is also on the network) to plan each lesson.
- Ensure there is differentiation / challenge shown in planning.
-Save planning on Fronter in year group section in ICT folder.
-Key skills are on assessment guidance.
-Some lessons are planning\evaluating lessons which means you can do it outside the ICT. If you get any paper work for this, mark it and keep in Topic books.
- Spend a little time to familiarise yourself with new programs, if you are having a problems come and seek advice for colleagues in the ICT working group or ICT leader. The Switched on ICT program also has guidance for all programs used.
- If appropriate upload children’s work to Fronter.
-Use Fronter forums so children can comment on their work and others.
- If appropriate make a Fronter page to accompany each unit. Using forums for each section in the KWL grid. Upload work and any PowerPoints.
-Print out 1 piece of work per unit and put in the child’s topic book.
-Mark work and write next step.
-Year 1 – 6 children self assess their work on ‘self assessment sheet’ (reception and year 1 adult help to fill out)
-Assess piece of work against assessment guidance at the end of the unit from ‘Switched on ICT’ (highlight the best statement)
-At the end of each term enter levels onto /SPTO
-At the end of each term ICT leader to take in Topic books from HA, MA and LA from each class and monitor outcomes and assessments
- Analysis data on SPTO
-check planning for differentiation and challenge and progression
- Feedback to Leadership teams and phase leaders
