This country-style railway station at the line Stade-Bremervörde was built in 1898. The type of building was widely used in railway architecture.Passenger traffic was discontinued in 1993. Thanks to a friend association, it was possible to restore the building in 2010/2011. The museum railway “Moorexpress” now operates on this route.The main building is a timber structure clad with attractive wooden paneling giving the building a Scandinavian ap-pearance. The freight shed has been solidly built as a timber-frame structure.
