Once again, our membership renewal application is available only online through the EntryEeze link on the club website. EntryEeze includes links to our waivers, releases, consent for medical treatment, and volunteer areas. Please read through these documents carefully, as your processed application is your legal acceptance of these waivers and rules. Information obtained on the forms will be used to register you with U.S. Figure Skating. If you have not received an automatic email regarding the registration process, your email address in our records is incorrect. Contact Membership Chair Francesca Sichenze-Bryant at [email protected] as soon as possible. Please make sure that the information automatically populated on EntryEeze from your current membership, including spelling, is correct. It is also very important that you provide accurate home mailing and email addresses so that we can communicate with you in a timely manner. If you plan to test or compete at a U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned event that begins on or after July 1, you must renew your membership before the application deadline. When your membership is processed, you will receive an email notification from the club, and your U.S. Figure Skating membership card will be mailed to you directly by USFS. COACHES - NEW RULE! Any renewing coach who does not fulfill the requirements of coach compliance in rules MR 5.11 (B), (C) and (D) and MR 5.12 by July 1 will be assessed a $75 late fee. SPOTLIGHT SKATER Alice Tang
What do you love most about skating?
I love gliding across the ice and feeling the cold wind blow into my face.
What is your weekly training regimen?
I usually skate two to three days a week during the school year and skate more during the summer.
What are your favorite and least favorite elements?
My favorite elements are the Axel and double flip because they feel comfortable. My least favorite element is double toe loop because it is awkward to do.
What is the most memorable event of your skating career?
In 2011, I went to my first Regionals competition. Although I didn’t win anything, I had a lot of fun and felt inspired after seeing so many good skaters. It was interesting and refreshing to be at a new rink with new people!
Who is your favorite skater? YuNa Kim! Her skating is so beautiful, and the emotion she pours into her performance is wonderful as well.
Whom do you admire most?
I admire my mother the most. She always supports me and works so hard at home and at work.
Tell us about your school and extracurricular activities.
I go to Alpharetta High School and will be entering 10th grade this year. My favorite subjects are Biology and Latin. I was on super honor roll in middle school, and I received Outstanding Achievement in four out of six classes this year. My extracurricular activities include playing piano, cross country, and of course, ice skating! I volunteer during skating competitions, and I have also done volunteer work at the library and my mom’s workplace.
Favorite program?
I have placed multiple times in previous years in both the Magnolia Open and Atlanta Open. My favorite program would be my long program to “Ice Symphony” which I skated at the South Atlantic Regional Figure Skating Championships in 2011.
Tell us something about yourself that no one knows.
I really like photography, and I’m very interested in learning how to become a good photographer. It seems like a really cool thing to do.
Best advice you have ever received?
“Kill them with success and bury them with a big smile.”
What are your future skating and educational goals?
My goal is to pass all Moves in Field and free skate tests before I graduate high school! I plan to have a career in the medical field. I want to attend college and continue to skate as well.
Tell us about your family.
I have a younger brother who is 12 years old. He plays tennis, and he loves the clarinet.
I would like to meet ...
I would like to meet Lang Lang because he is an extraordinary pianist and his life story is amazing. He truly is an inspiration.
If I weren’t a skater, I would have ...
Been a dancer or runner.
