THE FREE THROW SHOOTER FORMERLY KNOWN AS PEJA: If anyone would have told you that after two games, Peja Stojakovic would be the seventh best free-throw shooter on the Hornets, people would have thought you meant in the NBA and not the Hornets…a career .892 percent free-throw shooter, Peja is the second most accurate charity stripe shooter in the game today (behind Steve Nash), however, he has started out the 2006-07 season by missing three of his first six. THE OFF-SEASON’S BIG THREE: The Hornets acquired, signed or drafted seven new players to this year’s roster over the summer…three of the biggest were Tyson Chandler, Bobby Jackson and Peja Stojakovic…those three combined for 31 points, 14 rebounds and three assists in the 91-87 win over Boston on 11/1 and 23 points, 24 rebounds and two assists in the 100-91 win over Indiana on 11/3. • CP3 led the NBA in total steals, making him the second rookie in NBA history to lead the NBA in total steals…Brevin Knight accomplished the feat in 1997-98.
