NEW PEUGEOT 508

STYLISH DESIGN

The new 508 reveals dynamic lines, that are both concentrated and fluid, and reinvents

the standards for a grand tourer.

Revealing a more contemporary design, the front grill rises vertically and features the Peugeot lion

in the middle and has a revamped, more horizontal bonnet. The signature lighting is also accentuated

with the Full LED* technology.

By choosing the 508 GT, you will experience exceptional moments due to the abundance of equipment

that is available as standard. Its interior affords outstanding in-car comfort, whereas the exterior

refinement highlights an exceptional architecture.

CONFIDENT STYLING

The rear of the new 508 also benefits from a style makeover. Strong and elegant, its

redesigned bumper supports the silhouette whilst strengthening its protection function.

The rear lights are designed over a horizontal line, for both side vision and full rear vision.

Their red opaline treatment, on each of the three claws, enhances the technological styling

of the 508, and makes an impression.

In the GT version, the new 508 SW guarantees high performance, dynamic accelerations

AN UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW

A PANORAMIC GLAZED ROOF

The new 508 SW can be fitted with a panoramic glazed roof* as standard, which extends

to the rear seats, thus providing an impression of space on the inside and dynamic and

modern styling on the outside.

Sts 1.60 m2 surface area brings a sense of well-being. To enhance thermal and acoustic

comfort, it is provided with an electrical shutter device as standard. With its 5 pre-set

positions, its sequential rotary control allows you to adjust it to your requirements.

A COMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE

The interior architecture of the new 508 has been specifically studied to provide greater comfort

for all of its occupants. At the heart of an extremely elegant passenger compartment, you will

enjoy the space and the equipment designed to enhance your sense of on-board well-being.

STORAGE

For convenience, the 508 and the 508 SW include storage compartments that make life on board

even easier: a compartment in the central console, a cool air ventilated glove box, 2 front and 2 rear*

cup holders, bottle holders in each door panel, armrest storage and a removable ashtray.


AIR CONDITIONING

In addition to the manual mono-zone and automatic dual-zone* air conditioning systems, the new 508

and new 508 SW can be equipped with quad-zone* air-conditioning allowing the driver and passengers

to have their own air conditioning control. It is thus possible for each person to select the air

conditioning mode that best suits their needs.


SEATING

By virtue of a high architectural layout, the driver and passengers benefit from ample room in the front

and in the back. This comfort is enhanced by the quality of the seating, which has been developed on

the basis of 3 expectations: style, maintenance and individualised comfort.

The seats can be electric* and heated*. At the front of the new 508 and new 508 SW, the seat length

can be adjusted by virtue of the adjustable seat cushion*.

A massaging function on the driver side, coupled with the seat adjustment memory, is also available

when the seats are fitted with Nappa leather**.

INDEPENDENT PROGRAMMABLE HEATING

For better initial comfort, the new 508 and new 508 SW can be equipped with the independent

programmable heating device* that allows the passenger compartment to be pre-heated

or pre-ventilated using a programmer. The passenger compartment is therefore at a comfortable

temperature when you enter the vehicle.

REVERSING CAMERA*

The reversing camera* activates automatically when reverse gear is selected.

For enhanced safety and ease of use, it allows the driver to see their manoeuvre

on the large touch screen.


PARKING ASSISTANCE* AND BLIND SPOT MONITORING SYSTEM

The audible and graphic front and rear parking assistance notifies the driver

of the distance that separates the vehicle from an obstacle.

Using four sensors located on the front and rear bumpers, the blind spot monitoring

system (necessarily associated with the front parking assistance) keeps you informed,

whilst driving, of the presence of a vehicle in the blind spot. An orange LED then lights

up in one of the exterior wing mirrors to alert the driver.


COLOUR HEAD-UP DISPLAY*

Access essential driving information without taking your eyes off the

road! With the head-up display, this information will be projected in

colour on a folding screen located in your field of vision. You are

therefore continuously and safely notified of your speed, cruise

control instructions* and navigation instructions**.

PEUGEOT ET L’ENVIRONNEMENT

Peugeot offers a wide range of low emission vehicles; more than

half of its worldwide sales are of vehicles emitting less than 140 g

of CO2 per km. This level of performance is based on proven

technology, with Peugeot being one of the pioneers: the Diesel

engine associated with the Particle Filter (launched from 2000),

which is present on a wide range and is fitted to more than 2.1

million vehicles (reduction of 99.99% of emissions of particles),

and which, by virtue of a self-cleaning device, helps to respect

the environment by reducing Diesel particles, reducing them to

the measurable limit (0.004 g/km), and is based on breakthrough

technology: integration of Stop & Start, development of a new

generation of HDi and petrol engines ...

BlueHDi ENGINES

New technology is offered in the new PEUGEOT 508, including the

BlueHDi versions, which is the name of the Euro 6 Diesel engines.

Exclusively associating the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction*)

and the additivated particle filter, the BlueHDi technology allows

NOx (carbon oxides) to be drastically reduced, by more than 90%,

optimises CO2 emissions, consumption and still eliminates 99.9%

of particles.

Thus, the 2.0L BlueHDi 150 BVM6 engine, which registers

emissions of only 105g of CO2 /km in the saloon or estate version,

presents itself as the best offer in the sector at this power level.

Similarly, the new version of the 2.0L BlueHDi 180 EAT6 engine

has been homologated with the saloon at 111 g of CO2 /km,

which constitutes one of the best power/consumption compromises

of the sector.

PETROL ENGINE

The new 508 inaugurates the new Euro 6* 1.6L THP 165ch

Stop and Start BVM6 or BVA6 petrol engine associated with a

mechanical 6 speed gearbox or equipped with the new automatic

EAT6 six speed gearbox. This new 165 hp engine allows reduced

CO2 emissions from 129g/km (BVM6).

*Euro 6 is a European standard that aims to reduce the emissions of pollutants.

SAFETY

The equipment on board the new 508 enhances your safety:

BRAKING SYSTEM AND ESP

All versions of the 508 add an enhanced level of safety

to the dynamic road handling due to the presence of

the ESP stability control system as standard.

It consolidates the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Acceleration

Skid Control (ASR), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBV and

CBC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Engine Drag Torque Control

(MSR) and Intelligent Traction Control, which optimises the forward

movement of the 508 when road conditions are dangerous.

AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE*

The electric parking brake combines the automatic hold functions

when the engine is stopped, including when it is stalled, and the

automatic release on acceleration. The hill assist function coupled

with the electric parking brake maintains the brake temporarily

(2 sec) when the vehicle is on a gradient.


CRUISE CONTROL / SPEED LIMITER*

The cruise control allows a constant speed to be maintained

whereas the limiter allows you to program a speed that cannot be

exceeded. These functions are accessible from the multi-function

steering wheel. 5 speeds can be programmed through the vehicle

configuration menu.


AIRBAGS*

EIn the event of a collision, 6 air bags increase the protection

of the occupants: 2 front air bags, 2 front side air bags and 2 front

and rear curtain air bags.

HEADRESTS*

The fully adjustable front headrests allow precise positioning at

the desired height given the lack of notches on the rods. Their size

and fold-over shape allow them to be closely adjusted to the heads

of the occupants so as to provide a high level of protection.

HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS*

The 508 and 508 SW are fitted with halogen headlights as standard

that benefit from excellent photometry and have an LED* signature in

the form of a visible curve both during the day and at night.

HEADLAMPS ASSISTANCE*

At night, the dedicated camera continuously analyses the driving

conditions (oncoming vehicle, following vehicle, illuminated urban

areas, etc.) and switches the headlamps as soon as possible thus

improving the visibility.

ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONAL LIGHTING*

For dipped headlamps or main beam headlamps, when the speed

of the vehicle is lower than 40 km/h the beam of the front fog lamp

lights up the inside of a corner. This additional lighting is of particular

use in urban driving, at crossroads, on very winding roads, when

parking, etc.
