1With one receiving touchdown this season, Matt Forté can be-come just the fifth player in NFL history to eclipse 8,000 yards rushing, 4,000 yards receiving and 20 receiving touchdowns in his career, joining running backs Marshall Faulk, Marcus Allen, Thurman Thomas and Herschel Walker.

In Chan Gailey’s first season with the Jets, the franchise set new marks in three offensive categories – total offense (5,925), pass-ing offense (4,057) and passing completions (362).

3

4Eric Decker is one of four receivers in NFL history to have been a part of a duo to combine for 25-or-more receiving touchdowns in multiple seasons. He accomplished the feat for the second time in 2015 with teammate Brandon Marshall.

5.33Among all NFL running backs, Bilal Powell averaged a league-high 5.33 receptions per game between Week 11 and Week 16 last season. During that span, the Jets ranked fifth in total of-fense and posted a 5-1 record.

6Matt Forté is tied for second all-time in NFL history in two-point conversions with six. Brandon Marshall has registered six 100-reception seasons for his career, the most in NFL history.

7 In 2015, David Harris led the team in tackles (128) for the sev-enth-consecutive season.

8Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall became just the eighth re-ceiver duo in NFL history to each register 12-or-more receiving touchdowns in a single season and the first since 2014.

9 Darrelle Revis recorded nine takeaways (five interceptions and four fumble recoveries) in his return season to the Jets in 2015, the second-most in the NFL.

11Nick Folk has connected on 311 consecutive extra points since the start of his NFL career. Folk needs to make his next 11 extra points to surpass Rian Lindell (321) for the most consecutive extra points made to begin a career in NFL history.

17Following an NFL-low 13 takeaways in 2014, the Jets defense responded with 30 in 2015 – an improvement of 17 – which tied for third-most in the league.

22The Jets offensive line allowed the second-fewest sacks in 2015. It marked the fewest allowed by the team since it sur-rendered a franchise-low 19 in 2001.

26 Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall combined for 26 receiving touchdowns in 2015, the most among NFL receiving duos.

28.5Since 2013, Muhammad Wilkerson’s 28.5 sacks rank eighth among NFL defensive linemen and first among defensive linemen weighing more than 300 pounds.

31In 2015, Brandon Marshall became only the third player in NFL history to record at least 100 catches and 1,500 yards at the age of 31 or older (Jerry Rice & Andre Johnson).

35.0 The Jets defense ranked first in opponent red zone touch-down percentage (35.0%) in 2015.

62The Jets defense surrendered the fewest rushing first downs allowed last season (62). PIT and SEA finished tied for second with 71.

63Since 2012, Brandon Marshall (32) and Eric Decker (31) have combined for 63 red zone touchdown receptions, ranking first and second in the league, respectively.

71Passer rating allowed by the Jets defense in the 61 games Dar-relle Revis has started for the team since 2009, the lowest in the league. In those contests, the Jets have allowed a 53.5% com-pletion percentage and 208.8 yards per game, both the lowest in the league.

83.4Under the direction of defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers, the Jets allowed a franchise-low 83.4 rushing yards per game in 2015 besting the team’s previous low of 85.4 set in 1968.

84David Harris trails Mo Lewis by 84 tackles for second place on the franchise’s all-time tackles list. Brandon Marshall led the Jets in total points in 2015 with 84. He was one of two non-kickers last season to lead his team in the category (Devonta Freeman - 84).

99.5 Marcus Gilchrist played in 99.5 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in 2015, the most of any Jets defensive player.

117It took Matt Forté 117 career games to eclipse 8,000 rushing and 4,000 receiving yards. He is the second-fastest player in NFL history to reach both milestones (Marshall Faulk – 107).

121Brandon Marshall became the third-fastest wide receiver to reach 700 career receptions when he accomplished the feat in 121 games against Cleveland in 2013.

144Brandon Marshall has recorded a catch in 144 consecutive games, the second-longest streak among active players (Larry Fitzgerald – 179).

154 Ryan Fitzpatrick has recorded the most passing touchdowns (154) by an Ivy League quarterback in NFL history.

189 Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall combined for 189 recep-tions in 2015, the most among NFL wide receiver duos.

335Despite completing just 335 passes in 2015, Ryan Fitzpatrick recorded a career-high 31 touchdown passes. Only Cam Newton and Russell Wilson threw for more than 30 touchdowns despite having completed fewer than 340 passes.

11,000In 2015, Brandon Marshall became the 33rd player in NFL history and just the fourth active player since 2006 to eclipse 11,000 receiving yards for his career.

WR ROBBY ANDERSON“He’s got great speed, I think he showcased that a little bit in the game, he does every day on the practice field. He’s got really good hands...he’s just got soft hands, he brings everything in. The touch-down catch that he made over the defender, I thought he made it look easy and that’s kind of what jumped out to me, he made such a difficult catch look like an easy one. He’s got a good little swagger to him that I hadn’t really seen that you see in games come out a little bit.”

-- QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

WR QUINCY ENUNWA“He’s a jack of all trades. He’s like the Dennis Rodman on our team. He gets the rebounds, he dives on the floor for loose balls, he does a bunch of things. He can be a wideout, he can be an H-back, he blocks, he catches, he runs deep, he runs short.”

-- Head Coach Todd Bowles“Quincy has done a great job. It has been very evident to me through the beginning of training camp that he’s going to be a big part of what we do and has really improved as a receiver. He’s so versatile and we saw that last year with everything we asked him to do. He can really develop into a big-time weapon for us.”

-- QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

RB MATT FORTÉ“His production speaks for itself. For a guy to play at that high of a level for that many years that’s pretty incredible in this league. Just hearing stories, too, from former teammates that played with him about his work ethic. He’s been nothing but impressive since he’s been here. The way he approaches the game, I think he’ll fit in the huddle really well. He’s got a calm demeanor about him. He goes about things the right way. I’ve been really impressed so far. It’s go-ing to be great to have him out there.”

-- QB Ryan Fitzpatrick“The thing I like most is that it adds versatility to the offensive group. Here’s the thing. Defenses always try to key in on formations and different personnel groups. But when Matt Forté is in the game, they cannot do that because he’s equally effective coming out of the backfield [on pass patterns] as he is carrying it. [Defenses] can’t re-ally play those games with this group. The way Chan Gailey runs his offense, we have no idea what Matt is going to be doing.”

-- Retired RB LaDainian Tomlinson on what Forté brings to the offense (credit: Newsday)

LB DAVID HARRIS“David’s probably the most underrated guy over there, but he’s the glue that keeps everybody together over there. He does everything. Not only just mentally, he makes plays. He makes a ton of plays. They’re probably not flashy, like you see (Muhammad Wilkerson) and you see (Darrelle) Revis and the rest of those guys. But, David keeps that core intact. David understand the game. He’s our coach on the field. Without him, I don’t know where we’d be.”

-- Head Coach Todd Bowles

LB ERIN HENDERSON“He’s a guy that’s a veteran guy, and along with Dave (Harris), he’s one of the leaders on that defense. You know like I talked about knowledge, he understands. He’s seen the game before and he’s able to be professional in the field, in the meeting rooms, and help younger guys improve their study habits and things like that.”

-- Assistant Head Coach / Inside Linebackers Mike Caldwell

C NICK MANGOLD“He’s been great, it’s the way he carries himself. He doesn’t see himself as a 10-year-plus veteran. He practices every day, he takes notes every day, he’s at meetings on time, he gets treatment when he has to get treatment, he’s at lift on time. When someone is doing the same thing, what rookies should be doing every day in their 11th year, you’ve got to respect that right now. He gives advice when he needs to give advice, he takes people under his wing, he does all the right things. We have a lot of people that do that so I’m happy about that.”

-- Head Coach Todd Bowles on Mangold’s leadership

WR BRANDON MARSHALL“I think Brandon Marshall, when it’s said and done, is definitely go-ing to be a Hall of Famer.”

-- Hall of Fame WR Michael Irvin

WR JALIN MARSHALL“I think he is tremendous with his work ethic, he’s obviously phys-ically talented, he’s got speed, he’s got the ability to catch the ball, he’s versatile, he knows both positons all ready and just the way he attacks it in the meeting rooms, and watching film. He’s asking questions, he’s answering them, he’s on top of it and I love when a young guy comes in, and is a sponge of the game, wants to learn ev-erything and figure out what his craft is. That’s how you have success in this league because physically, everyone’s got it. It’s mentally that kind of separates you and keeps the longevity of your career.”

-- WR Eric Decker

LB LORENZO MAULDIN“He’s better mentally. He has a better grasp of the system. He un-derstands, positionally, things he has to do to drop and rush, and he understands how people are trying to block him. So from that stand-point, he’s matured some.”

-- Head Coach Todd Bowles on how Mauldin has developed

CB DARRELLE REVIS“He’s been great at sharing. He has a good way of teaching and mak-ing them understand it without going through a whole lot of detail. He puts them in position on the field and makes them see things that they wouldn’t normally see so he’s been good.”

-- Head Coach Todd Bowles on how Revis shares his knowledge

CB BUSTER SKRINE“The thing I love about Buster is he’s so competitive and he’s very coachable. He absorbs everything; he takes it in. A lot of guys at this level that think they know it all. The one thing about our room is that our guys are very coachable, and that’s one of the things that stands out about Buster. He always comes to practice every day with a lot of energy. Sometimes you have to drag stuff out of players—he’s not that guy. He comes to work every day, he busts his butt, and you know what you’re going to get from him. He’s a good pro.”

-- Assistant Cornerbacks Coach Daylon McCutcheon

DL MUHAMMAD WILKERSON“Other than talent? He’s a talented guy. He’s big, he’s fast, he’s strong. He can two-gap, he can one-gap, he’s quick. He’s rare. There are some people like that in the league but not many. I’m sure there are about 10 or 12 of them in the league that look like that but not many of them. He’s got a special talent and a special gift.”

-- Head Coach Todd Bowles on what distinguishes Wilkerson

G BRIAN WINTERS“From the 18 months since I’ve been here, Brian has gotten better and better, and has had an outstanding training camp. He’s gotten better and better and hopefully he continues to do so.”

-- Offensive Line Coach Steve Marshall“Confidence is a big thing with him. You can see that as he played more and more last year. He really got in a groove. From day one, when I came back, his confidence was there. He’s a tough player, he’s fun to have in the huddle, and he’s fun to have on your team. He’s just going to continue to improve and get better because he puts the work in.”

-- QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

KEY PERFORMANCESIn each of his two matchups against CIN (2011 & 2012), WR Eric Decker has posted two touchdown-receiving games, recording 113 yards receiving in the first game and 99 in the second.

A member of CIN from 2007-08, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has faced his former team twice, in consecutive seasons from 2010-11. In his first matchup against them, Fitz-patrick completed 61.8% of his passes for 316 yards, four touchdowns and a 107.0 passer rating.

WR Brandon Marshall will kickoff his season against CIN for the second time in his career. The first Kickoff Weekend meeting came in 2013 as Marshall played host to CIN, posting 104 yards receiving (his first of six 100-yard efforts that year) and a touchdown in the win.

In 2014, in the first of two games against CIN, CB Buster Skrine picked off Andy Dal-ton on consecutive possessions, returning the first interception 30 yards, the longest return of his career.

In the last Jets-CIN matchup, DL Muhammad Wilkerson intercepted his only career pass, picking off Dalton on a pass intended for Giovanni Bernard.

SITUATIONAL FOOTBALLIn his first season as a head coach, Todd Bowles led the Jets to a 10-6 record, a six-win improvement from the previous season. For Bowles, the keys to having a suc-cessful team come from execution in four key areas: running the ball, third down, red zone and turnovers. In 2015, the Jets ranked in the top-third of the NFL in three of the four offensive categories, and in the top three in all four defensive categories, improving the team’s rank in seven of the eight. They also established a new franchise mark for the fewest rushing yards allowed per game in a season.

ERIC DECKERIn his second season with the Jets, WR Eric Decker improved all of his 2014 receiving totals, catching 80 passes for 1,027 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2015. Decker has posted 17 receiving touchdowns in his first two seasons as a Jet, the second most of any player, and the most since WR Art Powell posted 19 during the first two seasons of the franchise (1960-61). Additionally, Decker’s 41 receiving touchdowns since 2012 are tied for the third most in the league, trailing only teammate Brandon Marshall (45) and DAL WR Dez Bryant (44). In the red zone last season, Decker caught 10 of his 12 touchdowns, tied for the third most in the league, while his 31 touchdowns in the red zone since 2012 are second only to Marshall (32).

RYAN FITZPATRICKAcquired in the 2015 offseason for a conditional seventh-round draft pick, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who despite serving as the team’s backup quarterback until the third preseason game, produced his first 10-win season while setting a franchise record for most passing touchdowns (31) in his first season with the Jets. Those 31 touch-downs surpassed Vinny Testaverde’s mark of 29 set in 1998, while his 3,905 yards passing trailed only Joe Namath’s 4,007 in 1967. Fitzpatrick was also sacked just 19 times (fifth fewest) in 2015, or on just 3.3% of his dropbacks, the best percentage in the NFL. His 19 sacks taken were the fewest by a Jets 16-game starter since Vinny Testaverde (18) in 2001 and his 3.3% sacks/attempts percentage is the lowest since Testaverde (2.2%) in 2000.Fitzpatrick received recognition with two team awards, the Kyle Clifton “Good Guy” Award given by Jets staff to acknowledge his exceptionally consistent willingness, cooperation and professionalism in daily interaction with the various departments in the organization, and the Ed Block Award, voted on by his teammates, recognizing perseverance and dedication in recovering from a broken leg suffered in Week 15 of 2014 while playing with HST.

MATT FORTÉA two-time Pro Bowler, RB Matt Forté enters his ninth season in the NFL and first with the Jets after spending the last eight years with CHI (2008-15). In 2015, Forté appeared in 13 games and recorded 898 rushing yards and 389 receiving yards. The former second-round pick has rushed for the third-most yards (3,275) over the last three seasons and has totaled the fourth-most yards since entering the NFL in 2008. Over the course of his career, Forté has compiled 8,602 rushing yards and 4,116 re-ceiving yards. He is the 12th player in NFL history to reach 8,000 rushing and 4,000 receiving yards and the second fastest to reach both marks (117 games) behind only RB Marshall Faulk (107 games). The versatile playmaker is tied for second all-time among NFL running backs in 50-plus reception, 400-plus receiving yard seasons (six).

DAVID HARRISAfter finishing his ninth season with the Jets, originally joining the team as a sec-ond-round selection in 2007, LB David Harris was voted by his teammates as the Dennis Byrd Most Inspirational Player, the second time he earned that honor. Harris, who was re-signed after the 2015 season, led the team in tackles (128) for the sev-enth-consecutive season and eighth time in his career, and sits third on the team’s all-time tackles list (1,147), trailing LB Mo Lewis (1,231) by 84 tackles. In 2015, he also recorded 4.5 sacks, the fifth time in his career he has registered at least 4.0 and also matched his single-season best with two forced fumbles.

BRANDON MARSHALLAcquired in the offseason for a fifth-round pick, WR Brandon Marshall was selected to his sixth Pro Bowl after posting record-setting numbers in his first season with the Jets, while also earning recognition from his teammates as the Curtis Martin Team MVP. Marshall finished the 2015 season with 109 receptions (fourth in the league), 1,502 yards (fourth) and 14 receiving touchdowns (tied for first). He bested the Jets franchise marks for receptions (93, Al Toon, 1988), receiving yards (1,434, Don May-nard, 1967) and tied the club record for most receiving touchdowns in a season (Art Powell, 1960 and Don Maynard, 1965). Marshall also became the first player in NFL history with six 100-reception seasons in his career and the first player to log a 1,000-yard receiving season for four different teams.

DARRELLE REVISCB Darrelle Revis returned to the club last offseason as an unrestricted free agent after two seasons. In his return, the former Jets 2007 first-round selection earned his seventh Pro Bowl selection as he led the team in takeaways with nine (five in-terceptions and four fumble recoveries). Those nine takeaways were the most in the league by any cornerback this season. His four fumble recoveries tied OAK S Charles Woodson for the league lead and were the most by a Jet since LB Calvin Pace also registered four in 2008.

MUHAMMAD WILKERSONSelected to his first Pro Bowl, DL Muhammad Wilkerson put forth a career effort in 2015, leading the team with 12.0 sacks, the second time in the last three seasons he has done so. Wilkerson tied for the sixth-most sacks in the league, the second-most sacks among 3-4 defensive linemen and the most by a Jet since DE Shaun Ellis reg-istered 12.5 in 2003.

TODD BOWLES HEAD COACH

Todd Bowles was named the 18th head coach of the New York Jets on January, 14, 2015 and is entering his second season at the helm after posting a 10-6 record in his first season, a six-win improvement from the previous season.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Jets set new franchise marks for total offense (5,925) and passing offense (4,057). The Jets defense saw improvement in their rankings across the board, includ-ing setting a new franchise best with just 83.4 yards per game rush-ing allowed and intercepting 18 passes, tripling their 2014 total, and recovered 12 fumbles. Those 30 takeaways led to 91 points, the most scored by the Jets since they registered 101 in 2009.

It’s no secret that Coach Bowles reserves a special place in his heart for the defensive side of football. Bowles saw his defenses rise to the top of the charts under his control and tutelage. Over the past three years, heading up the Arizona Cardinals defense as a defensive coordinator and keeping a watchful eye on the Jets defense as head coach, Bowles’ name still resides in the upper echelon of the defensive statistics.

The chart reflects the stats of Todd Bowles’ defenses as a defensive coordinator with the Arizona Cardinals (2013-2014) and as head coach of the Jets (2015).

MIKE CALDWELLASSISTANT HEAD COACH / INSIDE LINEBACKERS

• Mike Caldwell returns for his second season as the team’s assistant head coach/linebackers coach. In his first season, Caldwell was part of a defense that set a franchise record with just 83.4 rushing yards per game allowed as two of his linebackers, DAVID HARRIS and Demario Davis, finished first and second on the team in total tackles with 128 and 118, respectively.

• Prior to joining the Jets, Caldwell oversaw a Cardinals linebacker group that contributed to a defense led by Todd Bowles that ranked fifth in points allowed per game in 2015 (18.7) despite the key losses of inside linebackers Karlos Dansby (free agency) and Daryl Washington (injury).

BRANT BOYERSPECIAL TEAMS COORDINATOR

• Brant Boyer was named the special teams coordinator for Head Coach Todd Bowles’ staff on February 2, 2016, after serving as an assistant special teams coach with the Colts for the last four seasons. Boyer reunites with Bowles, who served as the defensive nickel package coach with the Browns.

• During his tenure in Indianapolis (2012-15), Boyer aided a Colts special teams unit that ranked in the top 10 league-wide during that span in net punting aver-age (third), kickoff return average (fourth), kickoff touchbacks (fourth) and field goal percentage (seventh), despite using three different players as primary punt returners and four different kick returners in his four seasons.

• In 2014, both punter Pat McAfee and kicker Adam Vinatieri received Associat-ed Press First-Team NFL All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors under Boyer as McAfee converted a career-high three onside kicks and set single-season franchise re-cords for punts pinned inside the 20-yard line (30), net punting average (42.8) and kickoff touchbacks (70), while Vinatieri made 30-of-31 field goals, including 35 consecutive attempts, the fourth-longest streak in NFL history.

• In 2013, Boyer coached Matt Overton to his first career Pro Bowl selection, one year after discovering the long snapper at a specialists combine in Arizona and bringing him to Indianapolis for a workout prior to his signing in April of 2012.

CHAN GAILEYOFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

• Chan Gailey returns for his second season as the Jets offensive coordinator af-ter a record-setting 2015 campaign saw the franchise set new marks for total of-fense (5,925), passing offense (4,057) and pass completions (362), while wide re-ceiver BRANDON MARSHALL and quarterback RYAN FITZPATRICK established individual all-time team bests. Under Gailey’s direction, the Jets improved their league ranks from a bottom-third offense in 2014 to a top-third offense in 2015.

• Gailey, who is entering his 39th year of coaching, has spent 13 of his previous 19 NFL seasons as either a head coach or offensive coordinator and boasts a resume that includes four Super Bowl appearances, including three with the Broncos (XXI, XXII, XXIV) and one with the Pittsburgh Steelers (XXX).

KACY RODGERSDEFENSIVE COORDINATOR

• Kacy Rodgers returns for his second season as the Jets defensive coordinator after enjoying a wildly successful 2015 campaign in which the defense saw im-provements in all areas, including allowing a franchise-low 83.4 rushing yards per game. Under Rodgers’ direction, the Jets finished with the top-ranked red zone defense and improved to third in the league in third-down conversions (33.2 percent).

• Against running backs in 2015, Rodgers led a defense that limited ball carriers to just 3.35 yards per carry, while holding a team’s leading running back to un-der 65 yards in 12-of-16 weeks. In addition, the team’s rushing defense allowed a franchise-low four rushing touchdowns, besting the previous low of five set in 1982. Against the pass, Rodgers was equally impressive, holding opposing quarterbacks to the lowest completion percentage in the NFL (57.1 percent) and the sixth-lowest passer rating (79.0). The secondary also accounted for all 18 of the team’s interceptions after the defensive unit registered an NFL-low 13 take-aways in 2014. In Rodgers’ first year, that total increased to 30, which tied for the third-most in the league and the most since the team recorded 31 in 2011.

• As a whole, the Jets defense under Rodgers ranked in the top 10 in five major defensive categories, including points (No. 9), total defense (No. 4), rushing de-fense (No. 2), third downs (No. 3) and red zone (No. 1).

TIM ATKINSDEFENSIVE QUALITY CONTROL

Prior to his time with the Jets, Diaz-Infante served as an offensive assistant with the Arizona Cardinals for two seasons (2013-14), working on the same coaching staff as Bowles, who was the defensive coordinator at the time.

• Before he began his coaching career, Diaz-Infante enjoyed a seven-year career in the NFL in which he played both guard and center with the Chargers, Bron-cos and Eagles. During his career, he played in 69 games (nine starts), earning Super Bowl rings with the Broncos in 1998 and 1999. He entered the league in 1987 with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent and played in three games as a rookie. JIMMIE JOHNSONTIGHT ENDS

• Jimmie Johnson returns for his second season as the Jets tight ends coach after returning last season to the NFL following a one-year absence. In his first season with the Jets, Johnson battled key injuries at his position, losing both JACE AMARO and ZACH SUDFELD before the start of the season. Under John-son, the tight ends helped block for a rushing attack that ranked 10th in the league, helping Chris Ivory earn Pro Bowl honors after gaining an AFC-leading 1,070 yards rushing, the first 1,000-yard season of his career, and also set career bests in rushing touchdowns (seven), total touchdowns (eight), receptions (30) and receiving yards (217).

• Prior to joining the Jets, Johnson spent eight seasons as the Vikings tight ends coach, utilizing a variety of different players in his time there. Four different tight ends led the group in receptions, including Jermaine Wiggins (2006), Visanthe Shiancoe (2007-11), Kyle Rudolph (2012) and John Carlson (2013). • Under his direction, 11 different defensive linemen have registered at least 5.0 sacks, including both WILKERSON (12.5) and SHELDON RICHARDSON (5.0) in his first season with the Jets.

STEVE MARSHALLOFFENSIVE LINE

• Steve Marshall returns for his second season as the Jets offensive line coach, his 36th season coaching football and ninth in the NFL. In his first season with the Jets, the offensive line helped RYAN FITZPATRICK set a franchise record for most passing touchdowns (31), while his 3,905 yards passing were the second most in the franchise’s history, trailing only Joe Namath’s 4,007 in 1967.

• Including his first season with the Jets, Marshall’s offensive lines have ranked in the top 10 in the league in sacks allowed in each of his last four seasons. In 2015, FITZPATRICK was sacked just 19 times (fifth fewest), or on just 3.3% of his dropbacks, the best percentage in the NFL. In total, the Jets offensive line allowed the second-fewest sacks in the league (22) and the fewest since the franchise allowed 19 in 2001.

• Additionally, behind Marshall’s line, Chris Ivory earned Pro Bowl honors after gaining an AFC-leading 1,070 yards rushing, the first 1,000-yard season of his career and also set career bests in rushing touchdowns (seven), total touch-downs (eight), receptions (30) and receiving yards (217).

DAYLON McCUTCHEONASSISTANT CORNERBACKS

• Daylon McCutcheon returns for his second season as the Jets assistant defen-sive backs coach after making his NFL coaching debut in 2015. In his first full season with the Jets, he assisted Defensive Backs Coach Joe Danna on a sec-ondary that tripled its interception total from the previous season. The defensive backs produced all 18 of the team’s interceptions last season (fifth most in the NFL), increasing their 2014 total of six (ranking tied for 30th). Additionally, the secondary held opposing quarterbacks to the lowest completion percentage in the league (57.1 percent) and the sixth lowest quarterback ranking (79.0).

• McCutcheon returned to the Jets after spending the 2013 training camp as a mi-nority coaching intern, working with the defense. Prior to returning to the Jets, he assisted the Cardinals in the same capacity during the 2014 training camp, working with Todd Bowles, Mike Caldwell and the Arizona defense.

KEVIN PATULLOQUARTERBACKS

• Kevin Patullo returns for his second season as the Jets quarterbacks coach after reuniting with Offensive Coordinator Chan Gailey last season and helping RYAN FITZPATRICK post a franchise-record 31 touchdown passes for an offense that established a new franchise mark for total yards (5,896) – including 400-plus yard performances in four of the final six games – and net passing yards (4,057), while ranking 11th in points per game (24.2), the most by a Jets team since 2008.

JOHN SCOTT, JR.ASSISTANT DEFENSIVE LINE

• John Scott, Jr. returns for his second season with the Jets and first as assistant defensive line coach after he spent the 2015 season as the team’s quality control – defense coach.

• Prior to joining the NFL, Scott served as a college coach for 12 seasons, work-ing mostly as a defensive line or outside linebackers coach. He spent time at Louisiana-Lafayette (2003-04), Norfolk State (2005), Western Carolina (2006-08), Missouri State (2009), Georgia Southern (2010-12) and Texas Tech (2013-14).

MARCEL SHIPPRUNNING BACKS

• Marcel Shipp returns for his second season guiding the Jets running backs after returning to the NFL in 2015 at the conclusion of a seven-year playing career that ended in 2007.

• In his first year with the Jets, Shipp coached running back Chris Ivory to the first 1,000-yard rushing season of his career as the back led the AFC with 1,070 yards on the ground while also registering career high with eight touchdowns, 30 re-ceptions and 217 receiving yards. Additionally, running back BILAL POWELL also enjoyed a career season, establishing single-season bests with 47 receptions for 388 yards and two receiving touchdowns, including averaging 49.8 yards receiv-ing per game from Weeks 11-16, the best in the league over that span.
