• His initial season at Brescia, Page was named NAIA Division I Women’s Independent

Coach of the Year after leading them to a 20-14 record and tourney berth. The Bearcats

upset top-seeded Lee University in the opening round to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.

This win was the first No. 8 seed victory over a top seed in NAIA National Tournament his-

tory. Page took the Bearcats too the NAIA Tournament again in 2007-08 with a 18-13

record.

• During his time in the Division I level, he recruited three conference freshman of the year

berry clinched the No. 5 seed in the South Atlantic Conference

Tournament with a 18-9 overall record and 14-8 conference re-

cord.

NEWBERRY HIGHLIGHTS• Four-year letter winner at Francis Marion Uni-

versity as a forward/center.

• MVP senior season, led the team in rebounds,

was a part of their 2001 run to the NCAA Divi-

sion II Sweet 16, played in 97 of 115 games

Last season, in a Feb. 22nd win at Coker Coach Page notched 200 wins for his career. Coach Page is the all-time leader in wins in the history of Newberry Women’s Basketball dating back to 1976.

He is 35 wins away from notching 200 wins at New-berry. SOLID SCORING Newberry has conference leaders in three-point per-centage, points per game, and field goal percentage.

Shelby Britten leads the conference in points per game at 22.3, seeing Meg Essex move up to third with 20.3, and Nicola Handreck at ninth with 15.8.

Handreck sits in at seventh with a 3pt percentage of 44.7.
