Spring Board News TheSteeplechaseBoardheldthreeregularmeetingsthisSpringincludinganOpenResidentsmeetingonMay1st.Afewhomeownersattendedtheresidentsmeetingtodiscussthefenceproject,clubhousevandalismandgeneralsecurityconcerns. The greenbelt fence project continued to be a major focus ofthe Board with Directors meeting individually with many of thehomeownersalong thegreenbelt. TheBoardalsoputout tobid,approvedandinstalledasurveillancesystemfortheentirecommunitycenter,oversawcompletionofpoolprojectsandcontinuedleadingtheefforttoopposeaproposedlowincomehousingprojectonSteeplewayBoulevardatSteepleparkDrive. In mid-July the developer proposing these apartments agreedtomeetwith residentsatourclubhouse.Asof thewritingof thisnewslettertheBoardisenlistingthesupportofotherareaassociationstoensureagoodturnoutatthismeeting.Atthistime,althoughwehave not received official notification, the state has scheduled a public hearingonAugust9at6pmattheHarrisCountyPublicLibraryNWBranch,11355RegencyGreenDrive.WatchthemarqueeandlogontotheSteeplechasewebsiteformoreinformation. Regular meetings of the Board are held the first Monday of the monthat7pmattheclubhouse.QuarterlyOpenResidentsareheldthe first Monday of February, May, August and November at 7pm at theclubhousewithaBoardmeetingimmediatelyfollowing.
