When we pay attention to God’s message for us today, woven through the messages He gave through His prophets that wrote in the Bible, it gives us confidence that the same power God exercised on behalf of His people so long ago, is also available to support us, in the ventures He has called us to today. When we live in that confidence it attracts others to want to trust their lives and futures to God, as followers of Jesus as Lord.

• That you will pause and let God speak His message for you, woven through the messages He’s placed in the Bible

• That your confidence in God will be contagious, influencing the people you meet, and prompt their interest in what makes you so confident.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Monday evenings 7.00pm

Newmarket Community Church 905.836.7251

Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory. It was designed as a program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. A note from Heather Asbury (YWAM CO): This past week was really crazy! On Thursday night we watched a movie called 'Father of Lights' and it was all about crazy things that God was doing in the form of a documentary. In it there were a whole bunch of healings too that God did and it was so inspiring! After we watched the movie, one girl was talking to another girl and said "it was so crazy that the people just put their hands on the sick and said 'in the name of Jesus, I command you sickness to leave'" and she had her hand on the other girls leg at the time and when she said that, the other girl was like, "my leg has been hurting for such a long time now, and it's completely healed!" So all of a sudden, in the living room of the Big house we had a 3 hour healing session. We all began laying hands in each other and praying for healing in people that needed it. Throughout the night people were healed in incredible ways! For instance, one guy suffering from ADD was completely healed and ended up throwing out his medications! Another guy who had been walking with a cane the past few weeks because he had horrible knee problems for a few years now, was prayed for and healed completely! He no longer has a limp, or has to use his cane, and instead he is able to run and jump around as if he never had a knee problem in his life! Perhaps the craziest thing that happened that night was with one of our staff members who had been having back problems for years and when we prayed for him, his back was completely healed! He was then sitting down for a while and as he had his legs stretched out, our speaker of the week noticed that one of his legs was an inch or two shorter than the other and that was causing him so many problems. So as He prayed for this guy he simply commanded, "in the name of Jesus, leg grow" and before our eyes we watched as this guys leg grew out until it matched with his other one! It was absolutely amazing, and I've never seen anything like it! That night, so many more healings took place that I don't even remember them all. It is just amazing to see the way that God has been working in miraculous ways here! This is only the beginning of week 4, so I can only imagine what incredible things God has yet to do here! Thank you again for all your prayers and support, I am positive that they are making a difference!
