BRIEFING SESSIONS ON NEW MEMBERSHIP FRAMEWORK, ENROLMENT AND EXEMPTION POLICY

With the recent introduction

of AICB’s new membership

framework and new enrolment

and exemption policy which

took effect on 1 September

2015, a series of full-day

briefing sessions was organised

by AICB and the Asian Banking

School (ABS) to provide clarity

on the changes.

AICB team took the lead

with information on the

new membership categories,

updates on the Continuing

Professional Development (CPD)

and the introduction of the

Professional Code of Conduct,

as well as the new enrolment

and exemptions policy which

was further clarified.

The briefing also covered

an extensive overview of

the new self-service portals.

ABS provided a detailed

explanation, together with a

live demonstration of the new

features and functions found

in both the Membership and

Student portals.

In the briefing, participants

learned about how to register

and update their AICB

membership profiles, renew

their membership, register for

events and manage their CPD.

It also included the registration

process for training and exam

sessions as well as access to

online learning resources.

The briefing was attended by

over 100 participants consisting

of personnel, predominantly

from banks’ learning and

development departments.

The briefing was held over four

days on 25 and 26 August; 2
