predicted we will hold a short assembly in the MPR and then move to our new

for your understanding and flexibility in this very warm weather.

DYSLEXIA PRIZE-CHELSEA WINS! This week CPS again celebrated another wonderful achievement-winning the

judged on Creativity, Awareness and Engagement. Money raised on this day

has allowed us to purchase $600 of decodable reading books for our prep

students.

Congratulations also to Linda Finnin who also won a drone reflecting her and

support of our learning programs.

This week we also were delighted to receive a $4,500 Equipment Boost for

Schools grant which will provide Text-to-speech C-pens, decodable reader and

workbook sets and software apps, to support students with additional needs

to engage in the school's systematic phonics reading program.

Very special thanks to Kathy Braysmith for her passion in promoting SLD

support programs for our students.

Christmas Carols The Chelsea PS Annual Christmas Carols evening is being held next Wednesday 12th December. Each class will perform a range of Christmas carols and dances. Year 5/6 will perform their STOMP dance. The entertainment will commence at 6:00pm and finish around 7.30 pm. Please come along with a picnic, find a place on the turf and enjoy our students performing carols that they have been enthusiastically rehearsing. There is also a surprise item which will certainly bring much amusement to the evening!! (Have the teachers been rehearsing in an after school secret location?) Stay tuned! We look forward to catching up with everyone next Wednesday evening. Just a reminder that in support of our commitment to Child Safe Standards this is an alcohol free event. MEDIA LEADER By Dane and Jake

We only have 3 weeks until the end of the year, and we are starting to round up all our activities for term 4. Coming

up is the Tacker’s Sailing Program for the Year 6s. The Tacker’s Sailing Program is designed to teach children how to

sail yachts, unfortunately, this year we couldn’t get a grant to have the entire Senior Grade participate, but thanks to

Mrs Sewell’s negotiation skills, the Grade 6s will be able to partake in this educational one last time.
