Director's Message:

I am pleased to know that VIMS is crossing a few significant

milestones in the current academic year, a respectable

position in B-school rating and AICTE sponsored FDP and

good placement record.

I congratulate everyone who is involved in this great task.

S. Periasamy, Managing Director,

Zawawi Powertech LLC.Muscat, Sultanate of OMAN.

The academic programmes in B-schools need to be highly transformational,

corporate focused and outcome based. The impending internationalization of higher

education has added another dimension, namely globalized

teaching – learning practices, and global accreditation. All these

pose a formidable challenge and a great opportunity for the B-

schools. Ultimately everything should converge in the student, his

/her development and achievement. I hope and wish that all of us at

VIMS are conscious of this trend.

Dr.V.Kulandaiswamy, Secretary, VIMS.

“Put your heart, mind and soul into even in your smallest acts. This

is the secret of success” Swami Vivekananda

The attitude you have and the approach you take certainly will

contribute to your success at your workplace. Think about the

skills you might need most useful in your work place, look for ways

to acquire and use such skills which could help you succeed. The

activity at VIMS is a fine blend for shaping the attitude and skills of students.

We have successfully completed AICTE sponsored two weeks FDP programme. I take

this opportunity to thank AICTE, Resource Persons and Participants from different

Colleges and Industries.

Let me take the opportunity through this newsletter, to thank all our faculty members,

students, friends and industry people who supported us. I look forward for your

suggestions and future contributions to make this newsletter a harmony. Wish you all

the best.
