SCHOOL IS THE TEMPLE OF LEARNING

To ensure that the fruits of education spread throughout the

country, BRCM Education society, under the able guidance of

Shri H K Choudhary, a visionary leader commemorates the

celebration of Shala Pravesh on 1 April, every year. Shala

Pravesh is also known as School Enrollment Drive. The

initiative behind this is to mark the beginning of the new

academic session and to welcome new students, in BRCM

Education Society. As a part of its education program, we

strive to overcome obstacles and to provide quality education

to every child.

In Shala Pravesh havan is performed to usher in a new

beginning after the end of previous academic session. This is

followed by some cultural performance and a power point

presentation. BRCM Society’s initiative in education is

certainly a step in the right direction.

COUNSELING SESSION BY ART OF LIVING

The school organized a Counseling Session for the staff on 6

April 2014, in A.V.Room at 11:00 a.m. The session was

conducted by Art of Living Centre, Shree Shree Ravi

Shankarjee. Ms Garima and Mr Bhagat conducted the session

on life values. They emphasized on life skills –especially on

stress free teaching. Several physical exercises were

demonstrated. They also told the importance of meditation.

Meditation is all about union of mind, body and soul. Pain is

essential but suffering is optional. According to Shree Shree

Ravi Shankarjee ‘A good teacher is one who is a good student.

It was an interactive, practical session and a very useful

session.

EQUESTRIAN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP 2014-15

Equestrian Open Championship 2014-15 was organized by the

riding school under the able guidance of Mr Maman Singh

Shekhwat , the Riding Master in horse riding field at 4:00 p.m.

from 9 April 2014 to 11 April 2014. The Chief Guest was Mr

Jhajhria and the judge was Mr Sahedo. Large number of

students participated to show their riding talent.

(The best horse rider of the championship was awarded to

Hamir Singh of Shradha House.)

INTER- HOUSE SOLO SONG COMPETITION

‘Melody’ An Inter House Solo Competition was organized for

Junior by the Department of Music, on 10 April 2014 in the

auditorium at 7: 00p.m. The Chief Guest was Mr Sahdeo

Singh. The entire school was invited to see the event.

A large number of students from various houses had

participated to show case their talent. They sang beautiful

songs. Niloy Sen Gupta, Ashish khejriwal were on drums

where as Aditya Salam played guitar thus mesmerizing the

audience. The judges of this spectacular show were Mrs

Navpreet, Mr Sandeep Ghosh and Mr Saluja

TECHNOLOGY TO TREAT INFORMATION

The computer department of the school had organised an IT-

Fest named INFO-BYTES-2014 from 14 April to 19 April

2014.The following events were held during the fest:

CORRIDOR BOX

14 April 2014 to 19 April 2014 :It was an open quiz, which

was held everyday during the IT Fest week. One quiz box was

kept in the computer lab and 5 questions were displayed.

Anyone could write correct answer and drop the paper in

corridor box, along with Name,Id,Class.Winners were chosen

by lucky draw and the result was declared in the morning

assembly every day.

organized the Dickens’ Week with fervor and zeal from 21

A three day Book Fair was also organized as a part of the

English Dickens’ Week from 21 April 14 to 23 April 14 in the

school auditorium. Publisher from Scholastic had displayed

more than thousand books related to various topics. Students

purchased many books. The Book Fair was organized to

inculcate reading habits in children. A power point

presentation on the works and on the life of Charles Dickens

was shown in the auditorium in the morning assembly.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

Special Achievers’ Assembly was organized on 29 April14, to

felicitate the winners and achievers throughout the month. All

the toppers from the various events received medals and

certificates from the Principal. It was a very proud moment for

both the Principal and the winners. The Principal in his speech

congratulated and also encouraged the students to take part in

large number in the forth coming events. Thus motivating the

students and appreciating their efforts.
