Two goals by Matt Griffith andone by Steve Bay on .assists by Bayand Harry Ruiz led the way.Strong defense by Bruce Meier,Scott Zucker , Mark Peterson,Paul Siegel and goalie Jay Blues-teine preserved the shutout.

Also with the same credentialsis the 1961 Hornets, who beat Gar-den City, 1-0, on a goal by MarkKoustantanou on a feed from RichBerkman. Fine games wereplayed by Bob Schaefer , PaulByrne, Mike Gould, Ray Cant-well, Alan Lightstone and EricBecker.

A 3-0 shutout over Massapequaalso advanced the 1964 Apollos inRegional Cup competition. Goalsby Steve LaRochelle , StephenMueller and Dan Feeney alongwith the fine play of Pete McNier-ney, Brian Vincent and John Rol-lins were instrumental in the vic-tory.^ The 1966 Rowdies were doublewinners, beating Brentwood, 4-1,and Deer Park , 1-0. Goals byLarry Dunn, Nino Chillemi, EricBrook and Mike Carroll led theBrentwood win, with fine play !?yRicky Posner, Bruce Goldstein,Mark Milowsky and goalies PaulAviles and Ed Okon. AdamHomler's goal won the Deer Parkgame, top performers Goldstein,Posner, Erik Wadehn, WilhemEskes and Aviles in goal.

The Apollos also won in leagueplay, beating Cold Spring Harbor,4-1. Dan LaRochelle scored twicewhile Reid Magid and Feeneyadded one each. Good perfor-mances were turned in by BillGourgey, Luigi Shettino and PeteLopez.

Other HBC winners were the1969 Raiders , 1-0 over Linrdenhurst; 1963 Lancers, 3-2 overDeer Park; and 1962 Demons, 2-1over Hicksville. "

Colleen Mahonand Jeanne Robinson assisted onCotton's goals while Seidman wasassisted by Elizabeth Weiss andMichele Norvito. Pamela Mar-shall and Justine McQuillenplayed fine games for the win-ners. Freshman Girls — The Sand-pipers, Bluejays and Woodpeck-ers were winners; Sandpipers de-feated the Canaries, 2-0; Bluejaysover the Roadrunners, 1-0, and theWoodpeckers beat the Catbirds,3-2.
