NEWS & VIEWS
JULY 2010
A few of us went to the Loch Raven Veterans Extended Care Facility on May 29 to put our cars on display for the
vets. Bill Grammer, Rick Woolridge, Tom & Diane Pattan, James and Linda Helmick, James Helmick, Jr. and Dave
Williams, Jonathan Pulver, Coleman with the green Mustang joined us and two members from the Chesapeake
Corvette Club were there. We got to have lunch with the veterans. We talked with Barbara Swann and she is so
delighted that the Street Survivors care so much about the Vets.

Members,
I am glad to see that the weather is finally working with us and we have had some good cruise nights and hopefully it will continue throughout the summer. I want to thank everyone who has helped out in any way. The Swap Meet was a success and thanks to everyone who helped out. I especially want to thank Wayne Gerst for the use of his farm for the event. I had a good response about it and several have asked if we plan to do it again this year in the fall. Have a good summer and safe cruising. Rick Woolridge, President

Thanks to Rick & Tom who organized this first ever type of event, all went well with 52 vendors registered. You can’t give enough thanks to Mary & Dick Cox & Gary Grimm who took care of all the food. The day was hot but Mary didn’t stop cooking. Janet Woolridge & Krista, Diane Pattan and James & Linda Helmick all helped with serving the food. Russ Richards helped park cars and keep things going. Also thanks to Richard Anderson, Santa Callahan & Chris Dekacz.
