1st Partnership Meeting in Arcos de Valdevez

Portugal




The first partner meeting took place between the 16th of November and the 20th of November,

2015, in Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal, with the following participants: Ayla Savasci, Tamer

Acar, Ali Baris Bulut and Ismail Aslan (Turkey, Girne Ortaokulu); Jurgita Kuprinskiene,

Rima Stongviliene, Edita Davidonyte and Asta Klydziene (Lithuania, Panevezio rajono Velzio

gimnazija); José Luis León González, José Antonio Sánchez Montero and Magdalena

Velázquez Moreno (Spain, IES Miguel de Cervantes); Tatjana Revina, Aleksandra Vagele,

Ludmila Uļinska and Ļubova Iliško (Latvia, Daugavpils Saskanas pamatskola); Maria Rosaria

Grasso and Isabella Gobbi Frattini (Italy, Istituto Comprensivo San Giorgio Di Mantova);

Sarah El Bouh (France, Lycee Maurice Genevoix); Joanna Wilczyńska, Mariola Zajdlic,

Monika Rzepecka and Dorota Zajączkowska (Poland, Publiczne Gimnazjum nr 30 im. Adama

Mickiewicza); Carla Barros, Sandra Veloso and Irene Dantas (Portugal, Escola Profissional

do Alto Lima, C.I.P.R.L.).

The meeting started with Carla Barros representing Epralima, wishing the partners a warm

welcome, and introducing the Mayor of Arcos de Valdevez, João Manuel do Amaral Esteves,

who gave a brief presentation of Epralima’s activity and the role that the school has within the

Academic Community of Arcos de Valdevez.




Presentation of the Project Ayla Savasci, Project Coordinator, who introduced the Project (background, objectives) and gave

special attention to the Intellectual Outputs:

1 – Let´s flipped English classroom;

2 – Lets know more about your students.

The Coordinator explained with details all of the partner´s responsibilities during the project.




Presentation of Screencasting Softwares: Jing, Snagit and Camtasia Paulo Simões, a university teacher from Braga, prepared a training program for all partners concerning specific screencasting softwares, such as Jing, Snagit and Camtasia. He began by explaining what screencasting is and it’s utility. Paulo Simões distributed the programs according to its complexity, so Jing was the first software to be explored, followed by Snagit and then Camtasia. In each software all partners where able to explore them and perform practical exercises that allowed them to explore functionalities in order to take maximum advantage of the tools.




Cultural Aspects All partners visited Porto, the second largest city of Portugal, located in the Northern region of Portugal.




During their stay in Arcos de Valdevez the partners tried some Portuguese Specialties and Epralima’s Cooking and Bartending students had the opportunity to show some of their skills




through a lunch prepared and served by them.
