Last week we were delighted to welcome Catalina who showed

us all how best to take care of our skin.

An Introduction To Mindfulness

This week we are delighted to welcome Mary Lawlor who will

give an introductory session on mindfulness meditation.

Participants are asked to bring a blanket/cushion or whatever

they need to make themselves comfortable. The session will run

from 6.30-7.30.

Again we cannot emphasis how lucky we are to have so many

talented women who are willing to volunteer their time.

and raised 382.50 for LINC, well done and thanks!

The next out4dinner takes place on Friday June 1st- please note

the start time of 8.00pm (second sitting). Hope to see you there!

My Big Gay Family Bar-B-Que

Thursday June 14th 6-9pm.

LINC willl be hosting a barbeque for all members of the LGBT

community and their families. All are welcomeOn the

evening we will also be showing our appreciation for the

invaluable contribution volunteers make to LINC on all levels.

Historic Day For LINC.

Last Thursday was IDAHO day (International Day Against Homophobia). To mark the

occasion and highlight possible solutions to homophobia, the Joint Committee on Justice,

Defense and Equality invited written submissions from LGBT organizations on how best to

address this issue. Toddy Hogan on behalf of LINC addressed the committee emphasizingthat full equality on all levels was the way forward. She called for parental and childrens

rights to be addressed, transparency in the family courts, dignity for LGBT people in elder

care and awareness training at all levels of society. A transcript and video of the live

proceedings will be available from Oireachtas.ie in the coming weeks.

Spirituality Workshop

We have had great feedback regarding the

spirtuality workshop that was held in LINC last

Saturday, facilitated by Anne Kelleher.

We would like to extend a warm thank you to

Anne for volunteering her time and expertise.

We hope to run the workshop again in the

Autumn.

Please note the next two workshops

to make the Dragon for Pride will

take place on Thursday 31st May

from 7-9 and Thursday 7th June.

While great progress is being made

the thing we need is hands! So

come along to the next two

workshops and be part of the best

parade yet!

The Gym at LINC.

Linc has installed a mini-gym in the backroom.

We have a cross trainer, exercise bike and ab

roller- and a radio! The gym is open for useduring drop-in hours, 10-3 Monday to

Wednesday and 11- 8 on Thursdays at a

contribution of2 per session.

Were delighted to announce the launch of

LINCs Positive Health Booklet for Lesbian

and Bisexual women. This is part of LINCs

two year Target 1000 Health Project.

The booklet is available in LINC and will be

distributed nationally over the coming weeks.
