    March Value Happiness

    Kick off: Beginning of the 2011 School

    Year!

    We have begun the school year with the happiness and

    enthusiasm that characterizes our community. This Saturday,

    March 26, we will be celebrating this new school year. We

    will hold a party with inflated toys, games, trampolines,

    snacks and beverages. All the AIS community from Play-

    Group to 12th Grade is invited to join us. The Coger School

    Student Council will have a bake sale and the profits made

    will be donated to the Red Cross to help the victims of the

    Earthquake in Japan. We hope to see you all tomorrow!

    PUPI WHO LOVES READING

    VISITS AIS.Last Wednesday 16, Pupi, the

    character of the Spanish textbooks

    CAME to our school.

    This time the students in 1st and

    2nd Grade attended the Workshop

    Orientation (7- 12).

    We are beginning the Orientation conferences for vocational

    development for 10th, 11

    thand 12

    thGrades. This time we

    have the pleasure to count on the presence of the Ministry

    Regional Secretary of Energy, Mr. Carlos Arenas Coronil,

    Engineer, and the parent of one of our students. The topic to

    be discussed will be Energy in the Second Region and will

    take place in the Auditorium, this Friday, April 1, 2011.

    P.S.U.We have begun the practice and Mock test for the University

    Entrance Tests of Chile (PSU). The 12th

    Grade students hadtheir first Mock Test on March 24 and 25.

    March 26: EARTH DAY at 10:30, Local Time.

    EARTH DAY! We invite our community to celebrate this

    important day taking actions together with your family that

    help to preserve our house, the Earth! This and everyday is a

    perfect time to take care of our planet!

    7th B interesting project!!!

    The 7th B class is planning to plant vegetables in a littlepatch adjacent to pre- school facilities. They will also be

    sharing ideas about healthy eating with the community.

    Cambridge Results 2010Once again, we are celebrating the results achieved by

    our students in the Cambridge ESOL Examinations. This

    past school year, 2010, 32 students obtained a

    Cambridge Certificate.

    We would like to highlight that all the students who took

    this test in 7th Grade obtained their PET Certificate;

    some of them even passed with merit!

    To reinforce these excellent results, we have just learned

    that our school achieved the first place in the region in

    the National Test of Measurement of the Quality of the

    English Teaching (SIMCE) 2010.This test was given to

    the students in 11th Grade 2010. Congratulation to this

    class for your excellent results, we are proud of you!

    This year Cambridge University has awarded our school

    with a Certification that validates the consistency and the

    high level of the results obtained by our school for

    several years.

    More really good news is that all our Spanish-speaking

    teachers have begun their preparation in order to get a

    Cambridge certificate to validate their English level.

    Clubs 2011The extracurricular clubs have begun already. There are

    multiple artistic and sports choices. In case of any doubt,

    do not hesitate in contacting the Extracurricular activitiesCoordinator, Mr. Jos Huanca.

    A very special invitation to all the parents and guardians

    to join us for the Dancing Club (Zumba) every Thursday

    from 7:00 to 8:00 and Saturday 10:30 to 11:30.

    This year we have begun our school Symphonic

    Orchestra. The Music teacher, Marcela Lpez will be in

    charge of this inspiring activity. We will also count on

    the Advisory, our outstanding teacher, Mr. Claudio

    Nazar who applies the Suzuki Method. All the students

    from 1st to 6th Grade interested should contact Ms.Marcela.Important Dates to Remember:
