With the wonderful weather which is
finally upon us we are spending a lot of
me in the garden; we apply sun cream
before each oung but please can par-
ents ensure they send in a labelled sun
hat. This coming week we will be send-
ing home five sample labels with your
child’s name on them which can be
stuck onto any item of clothing or other
personal belongings—once stuck on
they can be put through the dishwasher
or washing machine.
Thank you to everyone who has donat-
ed books so far. These books will have a
li!le dedicaon inside the cover and the
children who donate will be given a spe-
cial book mark to use when they borrow
books from the library.
It is the last Thursday of the month next
week which means Laura our hair dress-
er will be in - please let us know if you
would like your child’s hair cut.
Finally, don’t forget it is Bank Holiday on
Monday and the nursery is closed - have
a lovely long weekend.

words in Portuguese and am pleased at
how fast they are learning!
This week in Badgers we have been talk-
ing about our families discussing who we
live with and then moving onto our ex-
tended family such as grandparents,
cousins, aunts, uncles etc. The children
children created their own interpreta-
on of their houses using a selecon of
resources. Some of the Badgers created
their own family crests each one was
very different and they all turned out
brilliantly. We had fun measuring our
feet and comparing sizes we did this by
drawing around our feet and then using
Unifix cubes to match the
length. Lots of math-
emacal concepts were
used such as one more/
less and esmang.

The children also enjoyed building and knock-

a threading acvity the children made their
own pa!erns improving their fine motor
skills.
We have had a very busy week in Squirrels
exploring space and planets. The children had
so much fun painng a cardboard box to make
