CHANGES TO OCCUPATION STATUS It is interesting to note that the information parents provide the school each year is directly linked to the funding the school receives from the state government. In particular, each school receives a rating based on the occupations of parents within the school. The SFO (School Family Occupations) has a direct bearing on the funding levels that the school receives in several areas. In our context, our school’s SFO is high which results in our school receiving additional funding. If over the course of the year your occupation status changes, we would appreciate it if you could contact the school so that we can adjust our records. Please be assured that this information is strictly protected through the school’s privacy policy.

PARENT OPINION SURVEY (POS)Approximately thirty five surveys were mailed to parents last Monday as

part of this year’s POS.

Please note that families selected to complete this survey were

randomly selected from our computer office system.

We would be really grateful if families could take 10-15

minutes to complete this survey and return it to the school by

the end of this week.

The survey will be collated by Department of Education and responses are

completely confidential.

We welcome your feedback as to how we can make our wonderful school even

better in the future!

expression of interest form, if children can attend without concerns of sports or

family commitments. Sunday is a day when visitors can attend from 12.00-

The Day Monster Came To School

Once upon a time there was a little girl. She was walking in theforest. She found a monster but she wasn’t scared. Then the next

day she brought him to school. When they got there they found

a little boy. He laughed at the monster; he was teasing the little

girl and the monster. The little girl said to them ‘don’t laugh like

that at us. How would you feel if we did it to you? Then he

understood and stopped laughing. Instead he played with both

of them. The little girl said to the monster. ‘That boy is good after

all’.

By Mia Forgie 1P

One day there was a blue monster named John that came to school ina flying saucer. It was big and shiny. He was from out of space. He

went into the classroom. The class said ‘aaaa, there is a monster’. He

ate all the crayons because he was hungry. Then he went back home

in a flying saucer. By Jordan Carver 1P

“Look in the sky, I can see a rocketship” “I can see it too” “Oh no” saidthe little girl and the little boy. “The monster is green and it has brownfeet said the little boy and the little girl. “Look” said the little boy “themonster has blue hair”. The monster came out of the rocketship. Themonster said “hello my name is Tom”. “Hello” said the little boy and girl.“Bye Bye” said the monster. Then the monster said “Oh no myrocketship is broken” “Don’t worry” said the children. “We can makeanother rocketship” By Matilda Livesely 1H
