    ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTSVocabulary and Spelling

    Wordly wise has continued this week. Studentsare in charge of 15 words each week for spellingand vocabulary meanings and different ways to

    use each word. There will not be WW nextweek.

    Reading and WritingPublic SpeakingStudents have been changing their focus thisweek from writing and analyzing poetry to

    writing and analyzing different speeches. Theyare all studying how to not only write a speech,

    but also how to present one.

    Next week students will learn how to breakdown different advertisements.

    SOCIAL STUDIES WITHMS. TEXTOR

    This week students learned about the ancient Azculture. They studied who the people were, whthey lived and their rituals within their sociStudents also had two-three days to work on theirfinal project. PLEASE make sure to ask your studhow their project is going.

    This next week in class, students will finish up thtime in Latin America learning all about the Ipeople and culture. Once this has been completed class will have time to work on their project in orto finish it in time. This will be our last stop in

    Journey Across Time and the World!

    HUGE FINAL PROJECT DUE:

    MATH WITH MR. OWENSMath rotations are finishing upthe geometry unit.

    Rotation 3 will be working with

    PI and the Pythagorean Theoremin the next week. They areencouraged to check their workwith a calculator.

    Rotation 2 will be working onCircles and PI next week. Theyare encouraged to check theirwork with a calculator.

    Rotation 1 will be working witharea, perimeter andcircumference next week.

    SCIENCEWITHMRS. LEE

    While scientists have beenworking hard to understand wavesand sound they have moved on to

    understand light and theelectromagnetic spectrum.

    Students will complete a light labnext week that will explore the

    visible light portion of thespectrum as well and work with

    reflection and refraction.
