BREAKFAST CLUB SAFETYBreakfast Club opens at 8 a.m. and we often remind parents that there is no supervision for thechildren before this time. Please impress on your child that they must wait inside the schoolgrounds for Breakfast Club to open. We are currently experiencing a number of children, mainly boys, waiting on the pavement outside school, pushing and generally playingabout (this is within sight of the CCTV, so we are sure that it is happening). If theplay became rough, they are so near to the road that an accident might occur. Pleasemake sure your child is aware of the danger, and stress that they should wait inside the schoolgate until Breakfast Club opens at 8 a.m. Thank you for your support.

    LOST

One pink trainer has been lost in Key Stage 1. Please check your childs bag to see if it hasbeen put with their PE kit by mistake. Thank you.

CROSSING LITTLEMOOR LANE AND PARKINGWe now have a new Crossing Patrol Warden, so please impress on your childrenthat they should use the warden when they try to cross the road. Again we areasking that you park sensitively when you bring and collect your children, bearingin mind not blocking our neighbours drives or double parking and causing

problems for children trying to cross the roads. Additionally, please do not park ON thepavement, as buggies and wheelchairs need the space on the footpath, as well as it being dangerous forchildren if you try to drive on the path. Thank you for your co-operation.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR NEWSLETTERWe are encouraging the children to contribute to our weekly newsletter withstories, pictures and items of interest they have done in the classroom ouroutside school. The contributions this week are from Year 4, Indigo &Blue classes. Look out for more class contributions in the comingweeks

    Balby Central Primary School

    Jubilee Arrangements

    Dear Parents

On Friday 1st June we will be celebrating the Queens Diamond

Jubilee. We are encouraging everyone to join in the spirit of the day

by wearing an outfit of red white and blue.

Our celebration will start with all the children being involved in a series of

    fun activities and games.

At 11.15pm you are invited to come and join in the Big Jubilee Picnic. The Picnic kicks off

with performances from the children in each Key Stage with a repertoire of songs toentertain you.

This will be followed by our Big PicnicNo hot meals will be available to purchase on this

day. However, your child can purchase a special Jubilee packed lunch for 2.00 - the

same price as a normal school meal. Alternatively you may send your child with a packed

lunch from home. If your child wishes to have a school Jubilee packed lunch (and doesnt

usually have a school meal) please send your money in an envelope on Monday, as this

will help cook in her organisation.

If you could bring with you something to sit on or picnic blanket this would be a huge helpthere are some lovely ones for sale at 1.00 in many of the pound shops. If you felt inclined

you could buy one for the picnic then donate it to school afterwards, this would be really

    appreciated

We expect the performances will finish at about 12.00 at which time the picnic will begin. If

you would like to join the picnic you will need to bring your picnic with you when you

come along at 11.15am. The event will be over by 1.10 pm but there will be no

opportunity to take school age children home early - they will be expected to stay until

    normal closing time at 3.30pm.

So what do you need to do now:

Dress yourself and your children in any clothes with a theme of red white or blue

Turn up at 11.15 a.m. and bring along your picnic lunch if you wish to do so.

Stay and enjoy the musical repertoires and eat your picnic

Leave about 1.15 pm or kindly stay behind and help us tidy up

We hope you can come along and join in the fun. Tea and coffee will be on sale along with

home baked cakes (donations gratefully received). The Jubilee raffle will also be drawn.

We look forward to seeing you there.
