Each classroom including the front office have been taken over by Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus and Tyrannosaurus Rex, just to name a few. The students are very excited to learn and discover more about dinosaurs during Term 4 as part of our project based learning. Kindergarten Orientation Our Kindergarten Orientation will be held this term. Orientation is scheduled for: Monday 31 st October 9am-10.45am Tuesday 8 th November 9am-10.45am Wednesday 16 th November 9am-10.45am Thursday 24 th November 9am-10.45am. Invitations have been sent home to children who are enrolled to attend. If you know of a child who will be eligible to start Kindergarten next year please have a family member come into the school to have a chat with the office staff. These orientation days are very informative for family members and carers to also attend and hear about how school life will be for their child entering Kindergarten in 2017. Merit Awards Students receive recognition for their successes by being awarded merit awards throughout the year. An Excellence Award is presented at our formal end of year Presentation Day. To gain an Excellence Award students need to receive 20 merit awards within the year. Please ensure you bring all your child’s awards into the office to be counted towards the end of year Presentation. Ipads Payments We would just like to remind Parents/Carers with children in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 who are paying for an Ipad that Term 4 payments can be made to the office at any time during the next 8 Weeks. Keeping up with Your Children on the IPad Free Training Course We are having a free Ipad training course for Parents and Carers on Friday 21st October 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 am, in our School Library. Mrs Bradley will be discussing some of the wonderful programs that our students have been using on their Ipad to enhance their learning. Promoting Excellence, Creating Success

The excitement has been building as dinosaurs

P&C News Just a reminder that our P&C Meeting will be held on Wednesday 19th October from 1.45pm. We welcome our parents/carers to come along and see what’s happening. Keep an eye out for more fundraising events throughout Term 4.

School Hats

During recess and lunch all students are to be

wearing a school hat to protect them from the

harsh sun. If students do not have a hat they

will play under the covered area where we have

plenty of games and activities available.

Students can purchase a new hat for $10 or a

recycled hat for $2.

Selective High School Year 7 2018 Selective high schools cater for highly achieving academically gifted students. If you would like to have your child considered for Year 7 selective high school entry in 2018, you will be required to apply via the internet with a valid email address (not the student’s email address). Mrs Simmons has detailed information available for families wishing to consider applying. Please be aware the closing date for applications is 14th November 2016. Term 4 Save the Dates!
