Our student's truly know the spirit and giving of a Titan :) The month of November provided opportunities for students at SKSS to reflect and share starting with an impactful Remembrance Day assembly that was organized and performed by Ms. Fonseca's drama students, our choir and our student drummers. Thank you very much for all of your efforts during this reflective time as a school and community. Several of our students were also given the chance to be a part of volunteering at the Kamloops Food Bank under Mr. Ansley's and Mr. MacDonald's leadership. We are currently having our annual Food Bank collection throughout our school. Please support our collections by sending non- perishable items with your son/daughter to school. Our drive will end on December 14th with deliveries to the Kamloops Food Bank shortly after. We continue to stress at SKSS the importance of using our education as a platform to make a difference in our greater community. This collective contribution is a perfect example of many Titans' making a difference. We are all very proud of your commitment to our community :) On November 23rd we issued our term 1 report cards at SKSS. Congratulations to all of our Titans' who displayed a level of excellence in the classroom as it pertains to your Honours standing. We will be having our Honour Roll grade recognition assemblies on December 14th which will allow me to personally congratulate all of our students and present them with their certificates :). I was very impressed by the grade by grade commitment on our campus and I thank all of our faculty, support staff and you for being an intricate part of these success stories!!! My December “Titans” call-out is for Mrs. Yamaoka and her senior Art students who did an amazing job with their SKSS Calendar Art Exhibit at Sagebrush on Nov. 22nd. Working within the theme: "Embracing Nature's Change", Kamloops landscape - Climate Changes or "New Normals" of Extreme Weather, we had over 100 parents and guests in attendance to recognize and celebrate these special pieces of student work. Congratulations to all of our student's involved. :) A friendly reminder to our parents that our next PAC meeting is on January 24th, 2019 at 7:00pm in our library.
