February Month of Prayer & Fasting The month of February is the RCCG covenant month of fasting. We give ourselves to fasting and praying, seeking Him and believing Him to do great things in our lives, families, churches and nations. You can use this time to commit in to God’s hands your areas of personal struggle, stubborn habits and unhealthy lifestyle patterns and let Him do a lasting work in you. Fasting begins on 1 st February and continues to 28 th February. A prayer guide for each day will be provided closer to the time. Remember, if you’re fasting without praying, you’re just on a crash diet! As great as the plans of God are for our lives, they are only useful and relevant when we lay hold of them and run with them. The only plan that is worth running with is God’s plan, because as Proverbs 19:21 explains, only His plans will stand. It is therefore essential that we maintain an intense, deep and wholesome relationship with God as He guides us through the path that He has laid down for us with the many provisions and security that comes with it. MONTHLY NEWSLETTER OF RCCG PLACE OF VICTORY FOR ALL NATIONS

FEB 2011 – VOLUME 1

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace,

and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye

shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and

find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. – Jer. 29:11-13

THE FUTURE IS

BRIGHT

Whilst the government paints a very bleak

picture for the Year 2011 - massive

spending cuts; increased taxation; shocking

figures suggesting that Britain is on the

brink of the first double dip recession since

the 1970s - the Lord paints a bright future

for His Children.

We must therefore decide whose report we

choose to believe. We will, undoubtedly,

believe the report of the Lord. God has a

plan for us. Jeremiah states that God’s

plans for us are peaceful and good, aimed

at bringing us to an expected end.

His plans include plans of answered prayers

and assurances that our hot pursuit of Him

will not be vain. Prayer therefore, as a

medium of communication, is essential in

building a relationship with the Lord and

discovering for ourselves His plan for us.

February – Month of Prayer & Fasting The month of February is the RCCG covenant month of fasting. We give ourselves to fasting and

praying, seeking Him and believing Him to do great things in our lives, families, churches and

nations. You can use this time to commit in to God’s hands your areas of personal struggle,

stubborn habits and unhealthy lifestyle patterns and let Him do a lasting work in you. Fasting

begins on 1st

February and continues to 28th

February. A prayer guide for each day will be

provided closer to the time. Remember, if you’re fasting without praying, you’re just on a crash

diet!

As great as the plans of God are for our lives,

they are only useful and relevant when we lay

hold of them and run with them. The only plan

that is worth running with is God’s plan, because

as Proverbs 19:21 explains, only His plans will

stand.

It is therefore essential that we maintain an

intense, deep and wholesome relationship with

God as He guides us through the path that He has

laid down for us with the many provisions and

security that comes with it.

Don’t run with someone else’s plan for your life.

We must lay hold on His thoughts for our lives

and run with patience, not waivering about the

outcome of tomorrow. The future is bright!

The wonderful passage in the

book of 1 Corinthians 12

verses 12-27 make it clear

that Christianity is not just

about ‘me, my bible and God’.

God has designed His church

to be a body, of which, every

believer is a member and has

a part to play. Furthermore,

he has designed it so that

each part is dependant on the

other to function properly as

a whole – in short- we need

each other! I’ve come across

believers who have said that

they do not need to attend a

church as they can worship in

their own living room at

home. I certainly believe that

we should worship God not

just when in church, or in a

Christian gathering, but

regularly in our own homes.

The biblical example,

however, shows that we

should meet regularly to

worship (Heb 12:25). Not

only did they meet regularly

in the temple, but they also

had house fellowships (Acts

2:46; Acts 5:42). In fact,

house fellowship meetings

were taking place both times

when Peter (Acts12:11-17)

and Paul & Silas

(Acts 16:40) were released

Proverbs 22:17

“A merry heart does

good like medicine”

Q. What kind of motor

vehicles are in the Bible?

A. Honda...because the

apostles were all in one

Accord.

Q. Who is the greatest

babysitter mentioned in

the Bible?

A. David. He rocked Goliath

to sleep.

from prison.

In these smaller settings we

develop strong relationships

that provide support and

encouragement for us (2 Cor

1:3-4). They are a forum in

which we can dig deep in to

the Word and ask questions

or share revelations (Col

3:16). As a result, they help us

to grow in our faith. Our

Community Fellowship

Groups (CFGs) currently take

place in 5 locations: 3 in

Belfast, 1 in Holywood and 1

in Lisburn. Get plugged in to

one today and begin reaping

the benefits.
