Warrior Varsity Basketball Update
Boys’ Varsity - The Warriors travelled to Houston for a district game against St. Thomas Episcopal on Friday, January 11. In a spirited contest, the team came away with a 74-60 victory. Back home on Tuesday, January 15 the team faced a new addition to TAPPS 3A District 7, St. Joseph Catholic High School from Bryan resulting in a 74-25 win. Girls’ Varsity - The girls‘ team also faced St. Thomas Episcopal last Friday night. It was a rough and tumble game from the tip-off with the Warrior girls ending up on the losing side of the 48-55 score. The girls got back on track Tuesday against St. Joseph Catholic High School posting a 39-30 win. Boys’ Junior Varsity - The boys’ junior varsity team had the week off as St. Thomas Episcopal
does not have a JV team. They were back in action on Tuesday, January 15 against St. Joseph
and came away with a 44-42 win. On Friday, January 18 all three high school teams travel to Bryan for district contests against Brazos Christian. Scheduled tip-off times are as follows: JV 4:30 p.m., girls 6:00 p.m., and boys 7:30 p.m. The
boys’ and girls’ varsity teams will be on the road again on Tuesday, January 22 when they face Rosehill Christian. Back to back home district games are on the schedule for Friday, January 25 and Tuesday, January 29. The district race is heating up so make plans to come out and get loud in support of your Warrior basketball teams!

Warrior Softball Serves The Community
Each year, the varsity softball team chooses a community service project. This year their theme is Feeding Souls As Well As Stomachs. Working with the Stonebridge Church food pantry, the team recently brought books to the food pantry to be distributed to the children who come with their parents to receive food. The ladies took a few moments to inscribe Bible verses and encouraging notes inside the books. Way to go Warrior softball!

Warrior Swimming Update The Warrior swim team completed their pre-region season with a meet hosted by Tomball High School on January 12. Approximately 400 swimmers from around the greater Houston area participated in this event. The Warriors clearly faced their greatest competition this season as only one of two private schools entered in the meet. In what was a final opportunity to race and get valuable experience heading into regionals, the Warriors showed continued improvement and many best times! Of special note were the girls’ 200 freestyle relay (Hailey Hanigan, Katie Albertson, Jordan Hanigan and Hannah Bub) and the 200 medley relay (Jordan
Hanigan, Hannah Bub, Hailey Hanigan and Katie Albertson) teams. Both raced to a 6th place finish. Other top eight finishes included Hannah Bub (4th- 50 freestyle, 4th 100 butterfly) and Hailey Hanigan (3rd 200 individual medley). A special shout out goes to the Warrior fans who showed up to cheer for our swimmers! Regionals take place February 2 in Pearland, Texas so come out and support your Warrior swim team!
