It’s also time to order assignment planners if your child(ren) are moving into 6 th , 7 th or 8 th grade next year. These are not required but we offer families an opportunity to purchase. The PTO has already agreed to purchase planners for all incoming 5 th graders. Thanks to Cindy Jamroziak for chairing this. An order form will be available soon. Planners that were pre-orderd will be available for pick up at registration. I would like to wish all our 8 th graders well as they move on to high school. As a mom to one, I wonder where did the last four years of middle school go? Thanks so much to our chairs Michele Wintheiser and Deanna Knasinski for chairing the 8 th grade celebration and to all the committee members who have worked hard on the event. Information has come home with your 8 th grader with all the details. As I am sure you now know, out school was named “Sweetest School in America” from Box Tops. Because our school increased the percentage of box tops submitted during a certain time period, we were entered into a contest. We won 250,000 box tops, which equates to $25,000! Thanks to Lisa Mazurkiewicz and Amy Keller for chairing Box Tops this year. There is another contest this month! I personally would like to thank Pam Entringer, Vice President, Kim Dougherty, Treasurer and Chris Willms, Secretary for their dedication and hard work these past two years. These ladies put so much time and effort behind the scenes into making Bay Lane’s PTO what it is today. I also have to thank our teacher representatives, Heather Brown and Kim Nordlie and school administration, Mr. Olson and Ms. Stanely for their support and commitment to the PTO. Thanks also goes out to staff, office staff and custodians who also support our efforts. But truly a HUGE thank you goes out to all of you for your support over these two years. Happy Summer! BAY LANE MIDDLE SCHOOL PTO

NEWSLETTER

May/June Greetings…

It’s hard to believe that only a few weeks remain of the 2012-2013 school year.

The Stuff the Bus event was a success with Project I bringing in the most non-perishable food items. Thanks to Ann Terlion for chairing this event and working with student council to bring this very valuable event to Bay Lane and our community. Please remember as we head into the summer months, our food pantry still needs our support.

May 7th is our annual Staff Appreciation. This is a great way for us to say thanks to all our super staff. Texas Roadhouse will be feeding our staff some “grub” to show our appreciation for all they do. Thanks to Joy Johnson and Nancy Pascutti for stepping up to help coordinate the day.

It’s also time to order assignment planners if your child(ren) are moving into 6th, 7th or 8th grade next year. These are not required but we offer families an opportunity to purchase. The PTO has already agreed to purchase planners for all incoming 5th graders. Thanks to Cindy Jamroziak for chairing this. An order form will be available soon. Planners that were pre-orderd will be available for pick up at registration.

I would like to wish all our 8th graders well as they move on to high school. As a mom to one, I wonder where did the last four years of middle school go? Thanks so much to our chairs Michele Wintheiser and Deanna Knasinski for chairing the 8th grade celebration and to all the committee members who have worked hard on the event. Information has come home with your 8th grader with all the details.

As I am sure you now know, out school was named “Sweetest School in America” from Box Tops. Because our school increased the percentage of box tops submitted during a certain time period, we were entered into a contest. We won 250,000 box tops, which equates to $25,000!
