WHANGAREI ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS – YEAR 7 & 8

What a fantastic day the Year 7 and 8's had at the Kensington Athletics yesterday. Although a small group,

they represented us well. It was definitely a step up from the school / zone event with Parua Bay and a

good opportunity to experience this level. Notable achievements include Bethany placing 3rd in long jump

and Tai making it to the final of both the 100m and 200m sprints.

Next Wednesday the Year 4-6 group will compete, so we

THE SALVATION ARMY ADOPT A FAMILY - CHRISTMAS APPEAL

This year we have decided to participate in the Salvation Army ‘Adopt a Family’ Christmas Campaign. We have been given details of a Whangarei family in need who we are going to collect gifts for, so that they can have a lovely Christmas this year!

We know that this is a busy/pressured time for many of our families and there is absolutely no pressure to participate. If you would like to participate, please provide a small, NEW, UNWRAPPED gift for one of our adopted family members below and put it in the collection box in your child’s classroom:

Kidspace: Buy gifts for the 5 year old boy OR their mother Room 3: Buy gifts for the 9 year old girl Room 2: Buy gifts for the 10 year old boy Room 1: Buy gifts for the 13 year old boy

Alternatively you could donate something non-perishable to add to the family's Christmas Meal. Or if you have no time to go shopping you could make a gold coin donation and Ms Attwood is happy to do some shopping. Gifts need to be in by Tuesday 11th December. Thank you for your support. Kind regards, Emily Attwood
